Download UMDGen v.4.00 and load up the ISO in it.

Open up the PSP_GAME folder and the USRDIR folder in it. The fftpack.bin file should be there. Right click on it, select "Extract selected...", and save it somewhere.

His name may not sound good to one's ears, but Argath is so much better than Algus.

Coming back as a Deathknight > Staying dead for all perpetuity

It was an ISO I was looking at. Without the cutscenes, it was only 238 MB (give or take a MB).

Quote from: "Pixy"Well, the only reason I would see is to have multiplayer... and porting that particular feature doesn't sound like an easy feat. I'm wondering how much space the cutscenes take? The animated ones, I mean.

The cutscenes take up about 162 MB. Without them, the ISO for the PSP game is only 238 MB.

Which is strange since the ISO for the original is over 500 MB...

O_O

Awesome. Just awesome.

Porting all of the WOTL text and events into the PSX game would make me consider giving the PSP game a rest for awhile.

If my schedule isn't too hectic this semester, I'd be interested in doing a port (after learning how to do so).

It gave me that long error message (the one that starts with warning) at the top of my window. When I went to check the avatar, all that appeared was a red x.

I think Remote Joy is what you're looking for. It's an app that lets you display PSP games on your PC monitor. I think it has recording capabilities. Unfortunately, I never got around to installing it completely, so I don't think I can be more helpful.

Thanks Cheetah. I'll probably be switching avatars often, but it'll be in my avatar rotation.

Quote from: "Cheetah"I could post a double sized version if you would like to use it for your avatar here.

That'd be cool.

To edit your save files yourself with the Lion Editor, you'll need custom firmware.

1) Opening the battery up and physically modding it into a Pandora battery is one way to do it. I hear it's not hard to do, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're good with opening electronics and soldering parts (and I don't blame you about feeling squeamish, since I would feel the same way too). Fear not, since you can buy a Pandora battery off of the Datel's codejunkies website. As Tersius already mentioned, they're about $30.

2) Any memory stick pro duo will do, so long as it's large enough to hold the files (As a quick reference, an ISO of the PSP version of FFT is 400 MB) Personally, I wouldn't buy any memory stick that's smaller than 2GB.

I found out about this site while lurking the GameFAQs forum and seeing the 1.2 thread last November. I've been lurking on and off since then, but joined up fairly recently out of interest for the 1.3 patch.

I have a patch for TWOTL based on the 1.2 patch that I'm going to start working on again.

I look forward to contributing more  8).

There's also the fact that to play a hacked War of the Lions, you'll need to put custom firmware on your PSP, which may or may not be easy for people to do (and which most PSP owners aren't even aware of). And with no PC PSP emulator (well one that works well anyway), most would just choose to work with the PS1 version.

I work with the PSP version mostly though.
