Terribly sorry, however I downloaded it to both my PSP and my computer, with the computer do I need to have the PSP in USB mode? And when I tried it with the PSP I could not actually see it, I saved it to two different files and neither showed it.

You don't download FFT Patcher at all to your PSP. Just your computer.

Open FFTPatcher.

Go to file 'New PSP patch'.

And edit away, whatever you want to edit.
