That hair definitly needs more quality, especially on back frames, it looks flat and messy. I'm also not liking the palette. And Tifa headswap has messed up colors.

He was mad that I put in on the reference sheet to begin with. I didn't think he would be when I did and he said just leave it ..so Twinees I'm sorry man (again).
But the hair doesn't even match the portrait so I advise you not to use it.

I like the FFTA Flan but there are a few problems:

Coloring is kinda bright. I wonder how this would look in game, I think most of the colors in FFT are kinda bland and this Flan would stick out to much. Simply lower the saturation.

Yellow eyes on the yellow Flan looks somewhat awkward, maybe change it to white so the black pupils stick out more?

I'm trying to figure out what that white cloud thing its spitting out is...what happened to the poses with the tongue attacks? :/

I don't mean this meanly, but the portrait is just really really horrible for FFT. It isn't even remotely close to FFT style. Might wanna make your own portrait because FFTA portraits don't work in FFT...

I forgot to mention one thing, it might also be way too large compared to humans...

Shrink it down in like Photoshop to 3/4 its size or something? Another thing is that there is a Flan in progress...oh well, keep it up! :mrgreen:

Actually I dunno why people say that when its only very slightly saturated, when it gets imported into the game the colors are toned down anyways...

I think you might have to go in there manually with Photoshop or whatever you use and change the hair whiter. Other than that the sprite does look similar, so its not too bad. Are you gonna use the Firion portrait or make a new one? Actually, dumb question but is this character male or female?

I know this was an old question, but I believe you are referring to Sword of Mana, I only bring it up, cuz i found my old GBA today with that game still in it and it reminded me of that post,
Secret of Mana was only on SNES and Super Famicon (Seiken Densetsu 2) IIRC

See the difference between Mustadio and Besrodio? They don't look "that" much alike, but enough to be believable as father and son

as i have said.. im putting legend of mana into fft after the orig series of fft.. but i still have to connect both .. thus i have left ramza, alma, cloud, beowulf in the game..
junks is the son of mustadio and agrias :) (maybe i did this one cause i dunno who should replace mustadio but yeah.. junks will do just fine)
he has agrias' armor with mustadio's pants.. the hair should be the only thing i would be changing XD

so that the only thing i'll erase is mustadio's chest and arm actions, agrias' head, hair and dress ._. and nomore arm realigning

what i did was...

-reno as base
-head swap ramza
-make a concept for you guys to see.


next thing im going to do...
-put it sepiroth's lower coat to cover reno's overly large white t-shirt.. so the proportions can be quite normal..
-head swap cloud's hair (left side only where the spikes are... face not included)
-palette change to alucard's colors
-portrait

Ya know what Tai, I actually really like this. If you shorten the hair a tad (just so it doesn't look like Cloud's), I could definitely use him in one of my many projects
