I've... never even heard of the game, much less the sound track. nuff said is not nuff said.
Chrono Trigger: Brink of Time. Orginal is good too, but this is CT combined with
acid jazz.

Final Fantasy IV: Celtic Moon. A little hokey, but still all shades of awesome. Prologue is my favorite FF piece of all time to boot.

Einhander!
Silent Hill Series (eps. the lyrical stuff)
philsov, Brutal Legend is out Oct 13. Essentially a simplistic but fun slasher with a heavy metal soundtrack and voices from Jack Black, Lemmy, Tim Curry, Ozzy Osbourne and ROB FUCKING HALFORD.
Side note: apparently the lyrical song from MGS1 is in Irish. I must look that up.
@Vanya: Is it worth buying Einhander off the Japanese PSN store?
Quote from: "Mental_Gear"@Vanya: Is it worth buying Einhander off the Japanese PSN store?
Oooooh yes. My favorite side-scrolling shooter of that era.
I'm just afraid of buying the cheapest possible JP PSN card and only spending a quarter of it.
Definitely worth it and it even has *gasp* replay value!! Dun dun duuun!!!
All FFs, specially FFIX! (IX >>> VII = X >> T = VIII > V = III > XII = VI = IV > I )
Crono Chross
Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie (those are really good)
Most Mario games (specially SMB3)
Medievil!!
Most Megaman and Megaman X games ^^
Okami
Ape escape games
SMT: Digital Devil Saga 2
Gex games
Some tunes from Gran Turismo 2 and 4
Pokemon games, specially the G/S/C era (have you listened to the new remakes?)
Sonic games!! (the Genesis era of course)
GoW!
Castlevania, the NES era.
Zelda games.. some themes.
Bugs bunny lost in time XD
And then many random themes like "the moon" from ducktales, "mechanical world" from chocobo's dungeon 2, the doom theme, some themes from old NES games like TMNT3, Tiny toons and so on...
QuotePokemon games, specially the G/S/C era (have you listened to the new remakes?)
Absolutely. The soundtrack for these games was stupendous. Also when the remakes of the games hit shelves I might lose any maturity I have developed since the originals where released. For a week or two at least.

I really gotta pick that up sometime. I only ever played the demo, but it was awesome. Do they still have that one transformer boss that turns into a gun? Oh, wait, it was the other way around.
Chrono Cross
Final Fantasy 7! I liked 10's also...
My fav is Starocean: The Second Story, hands down.
PN.03
o:
FFIX had a great soundtrack, even featuring some reggae sounding pieces on it, which is surprising.
Castlevania (Series)
There's a whole bunch of great music throughout with tons of great remixes.
Damn, Sephirot24, I gotta dig up bugs bunny again XD
I see you mentioned God of War - have you heard the Guitar Hero II Remix of God of War II's boss theme? It's called 'The End Begins (To Rock)'.
God of War.
Chrono Cross is the first RPG I ever played. Considering that, I was rather spoiled when it comes to music. I love its soundtrack. Chrono Trigger is of course fantastic on the music front as well.
The Crisis Core soundtrack has drawn my interest recently. If only its songs were just a little less repetitive.
The original Banjo-Kazooie was partially built around music, considering all the notes you had to collect, the note doors, and the names of the main characters. It's no wonder they had a varied and fun soundtrack. I'm glad it continued into the other games. I believe I heard the track is unreleased/not played in normal gameplay, but my favorite Nuts and Bolts song is what should have been the final boss music. You'll know it when you hear it if you're a Banjo-Kazooie fan.

Of War damnit! STUPID WORD FILTER!
Woah, great take on "The end Begins" Mental Gear ;) lol
Videogame music is awesome. I've always liked at least a couple of songs from EVERY game I've played. What I named there is the most well known and probably the best, but there's a hell lot more. I want to become a Composer and make music for games
Hopefully someday..
Can you point that one for me Silvas? Never played Nuts and bolts as I don't have any current gen console yet X_X
On YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmuueXdfo5Q&feature=PlayList&p=DC6C52F06744833C&index=45) (This is just the first one I found. There are probably better and/or longer recordings available.) For some strange reason it is played during the credits, not the final challenge.
A lot of the Nuts and Bolts music are orchestrated versions of past music, with the occasional thematic twist included. A lot of old songs are put into a medley for Banjoland though.
Awesome
I recognized it instantly with the first 4 notes ^^ One of my faves from old Banjo games.
FFVI, FFXII, FFT and FFVII, Castlevania SotN, in that order.
Also, the Adventures of Lolo:

OCRemix has a real nostalgic piece based on Super Mario 64. If you liked that game, search OCRemix for Devastation's Doorway. If you don't start recognizing the tunes at 34 seconds, you can't call yourself a fan of the game.
I'm very partial to the Japanese version of CV3.
FFVIII - Dont Be Afraid (DIssidia Version)
FFX To Zanarkand
my all time fave
FFT & Vagrant story have some pretty damn good tracks.
Square-enix games in general have good OSTs. Radiata Stories's is quite unique.
It is fairly unique, but I can't recall any of it in particular. I think I had one or two songs from it I liked more than the rest, but I've forgotten what they were.
I always like the Soul Series sound tracks.
Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, & (on a spiritual level) The Grandstream Saga.
For those that don't know, The Grandstream Saga is made by more or less the same group that made the true Soul series.
Seiken Densetsu 3, Secret of Mana, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy I (for nostalgia's sake).
Contra Shattered Soldier has a really kick ass soundtrack.
Quote from: "Vanya"I always like the Soul Series sound tracks.
If you mean Soul Edge / Blade / Calibur, ditto. I'm glad Namco gave it an orchestral OST as opposed to techno-metal like Tekken is flooded with.
That said, my favourite SC track of all time is Doubtful Judgement, Inferno's alternate theme from Soul Blade.
While the Soul Edge/Calibur games do have an excellent orchestral soundtrack, that's not what I meant.

I was always a fan of guilty gears' OST, as far as fighting games go.
Also, because I forgot it before: obligatory Katamari Damancy.
Guilty Gear series has very win OSTs.
I need to dig up my PS1 games...
