Bah, this wasn't as funny as I had initially hoped. If someone gets the notion to purge this, no big in my book.

Quote from: "Vanya"What system are you playing it on? I recently saw it came out on Wii and I'm wondering if it is different from any other releases.

I'm playing it on PC, from my experience any platform version is intensely nerfed, the real fun is finding out about bizarre things you've never heard of doing, and platform versions are just so much more limited along those lines. Twilight princess was awesome though, I really should get around to finishing that game.

I've noticed a trend in topics going dead almost as soon as I post in them, this is a test.

I AM THE TOPIC SLAYER!!

ouch Zodiac, way to burn me for being on your side. I was trying to lighten the mood of this controversy by pointing out that we're all the same in essence. Oh well, I hope it's clear that I meant no offense.

We are all

Personally I wouldn't be offended, but I can completely understand, I would probably be more offended by the statement were I in the shoes of someone who has likely faced such rudeness from all directions for at least some period of time, Zodiac, I can sympathize, and while normally I don't like the notion of banning people for opinions, I fully support this use of the mighty hammer.

*troll cling* Technically we're all "it's" being that it only refers to an undefined object, and despite sentience, we are in the end "things" therefore, each individual one of us, is an "it" by the definition that we are objects.

Gotta say, not that I'm asking to be, but I'm a little surprised I haven't been banned, being that I hate forums it seems that I kill topics with my mere presence, lmao

Abortion has been around for thousands of years, there were times when it was VASTLY more dangerous than it is now and more common as well, unborn fetuses are not some sort of sacred gift, life is not some sort of sacred gift, the miracle of existence is it's limited capacity to persist, the only thing that makes life sacred is that we have only so much time to live it, and in that time we have the right and power to live it in any ways we see fit. Life is little more than an accident, not at all random however seemingly so, billions and trillions of atoms working together to do something greater with their existence with no notable consciousness but a continued drive to evolve. Early xtians in the roman empire saw no sacredness to life, where babies born defective were discarded due to the fact that their strain on society would be greater than their benefits to culture or development, in today's society we conserve any life that we can, being mentally or physically challenged is no longer a death sentence and for that much we should be grateful, let's not forget that these aborted fetuses in several cases go to the furthering of stem cell research, a scientific path that promises to one day cure some of the most violently destructive diseases known to man.

My daughter has an extremely rare and complex genetic disorder, and I love her more than anything in the world, and if someone else who doesn't want their child is going to allow that child to do something great for the world with it's cells, then I thank them, Stem cell research is one of the most likely places they may find a cure for several genetic disorders like MTFPD (mitochondrial trifunctional protein defficiency) so I thank those brave women who face off against protesters and right wing crazies, thanks to them my daughter might be able to one day lead a normal life.

I am a proud parent and I am pro-choice. My wife and I weighed our options and decided to have our daughter, and the fact that we had the power to make that decision made our choosing to have our daughter so much more special. St. Ajora can suck it, historically speaking, this is the source of more deaths both infant and adult than any other cause.

[Edit] I should add that while I am an atheist, I don't think religion is a bad thing, having faith and hope gets you through the dark times, but using it as a weapon to frighten people into doing things your way is wrong, no matter what religion you subscribe to, I believe strictly in the power of science, but I know lots of people who find a great deal of strength in their faith, and for them I am happy, though I do not agree with the stories of their religion, I know from personal experience that faith in something, whether true or false, is a great power. It can be good or evil, it's all about how you wield the power of your faith. These women are using their faith as a weapon of fear and guilt, no matter where you stand on the abortion issue, it's wrong to do this to people.

am I the only person still satisfied with MTG? I mean, sure, I'd like an FF game, but I have to say, I am NOT spending thousands more dollars and years of practice on a game I know won't be bigger than MTG, and being that I already have enough problems finding a worthwhile opponent in MTG I'm really not looking forward to the hunt for someone to play in FFTCG.

FF I it's been way too long to remember.
FF II See FF1
FF III Dark Knight (go figure)
FF IV Damn, can't remember the main guy's name, you know, the dragoon, then later paladin guy.
FF V That old guy that dies. (hands down)
FF VI Terra
FF VII *points to his avatar (I hate calling it that) replaces avatar with Character Icon*
FF VIII F*ck that game. F*ck it hard.
FF IX Freya, she's a bad ass yo, no denying that.
FF X Yuna, and no I'm not a girl, I just LOOOOOVE healers. Might be tied with Rikku though, I also like stealing.
FF XI Obviously, my character.
FF XII Balthier he is the leading man after-all.
Never played 13+

FFT Delita, greatest villain, and greatest rise to power in gaming history!
FFTA I don't know, I guess there were some cool ones, that chick with the rapiers was kinda cool, she basically has swordskills.
FF Chocobo Racing Bahamut, totally, 'sept I like to paint him white and name him Ultima, since you can create your own racers.

Sims 3, I know it sounds stupid guys, but sims THREE is a completely different game from the first two, if you haven't tried it I highly recomend you give it a go, the new system for traits instead of astrological signs is a god send, and the new aspirations system is a system by which your sims get wishes and you can either deny or fullfill them for rewards point to spend on added bonuses like a robotic buddy or a teleporter. I'm telling you guys Sims 3 is a whole new ball-field and adds a real element of RPG to the series. Doubly so for  the world adventures and night life expansions.

Hey sorry for the double post guys, but Zodiac, I think it's a shame you're leaving us as pres, will you be leaving hacktics all-together or just resigning the position of president? I don't wanna fill this up with irrelevant stuff but let me know in a PM or something.

Imma put my two cents in on Philsov. I haven't been around in a while but I remember philsov most fondly among the contenders.

I wanna vote for Vanya lol >.<

I have to agree with not paying for games, that's the reason I quit 11 and don't plan to play freakishly long on 14, but 14 is actually charged by how long you play not a base fee, however I have to say that you should at least do the 10 day trial so you can say you have an educated opinion on the game, but I can't stress enough how much I completely agree with not paying for games you play on-line, and especially not paying twice (or once plus a monthly fee) for a game, I understand the need for gaming companies to profit, but that's why I don't mind games with a cash shop, if I want to buy something I can, but I don't want to HAVE to pay something just to play a game

Quote from: "SolidSnakeDog"Right after Square Enix made an Onligne FF (AKA FF11) I started to hate em.
But now there will make an OTHER onligne and using FF 14 form it? Now i am just pissed. <
Anyway. I don't care about Equare Enix anymore.

(Has the colonel in MGS says)
Square Enix! What have you done??
You ruined the Final fantasy's classic gameplay!
You have created a Final fantasy paradox!

Having played FFXI and being that i very much look forward to 14, I have to say that neither game ruined the final fantasy style, rather, FFXI brought a lot of traditional final fantasy feeling into a world otherwise almost totally devoid of story and character development as well as job change and customization. It was truly an excellent game, and yes, not a ton like a traditional FF game, but different in a good way, keep in mind every FF is completely different, the only real characteristics we can attribute to them all are certain characters, plot styles, and other such nostalgic traits like jobs and spell names. Remember FF5 and it's job system? Then right after that was FF6 with no solid main character and no job changes or ability swapping, two completely different games but neither is considered to be apart from the FF franchise.

FFXI or DDO are the two best MMOs I have ever played, FFX! was pay-to play and DDO used to be but it's free to play now, other than that though i would have to go with FlyFF followed by probably Fiesta. At the moment though, none of these matter since FFXIV is on its way out soon. ^^
