Use of ePSXe before 2.0 is highly discouraged. Mednafen, RetroArch, and Duckstation are recommended for playing/testing, pSX is recommended for debugging.

I don't see that thread called 'What have you been working on?' so eh, dunno where to put this without making a new topic. Anyway, in my spare time I came across this linked in the site:

These are cool, but they're oversized and are a pixel nightmare. I guess you can add it to your database if you guys ever need sprites or sprite parts. I can't see the originals anywhere, so I've started trying to recover it pixel by pixel. I've started with Firion at least.

Spriting / Re: IronArm's Sprites

Great progress. My favorite has to be Brasdefer. The others also have no problems in my opinion, while the only noticeable thing on Brasdefer for me would be the too much antialiasing and shadowing of the armor. That used to be my problem too that there's so much shades in my armors or shadows that there's only one pixel width of the lightest shade. The sprite however and the face itself is already spot on and character-tier quality.

For now, the safest way to do colors would be using colors either FFT or people here have made, heh. Apart from that, aye I agree. You're doing some neat uniques.

That is REALLY noticeable Lijj and great work! Thanks!

I'll update this thread when I've come up with something, and thanks Lir.

Thanks guys! I'm interested in the sprite & avatar prizes aye. I'm hoping my character (Maven Musson) is an interesting character concept of a thief in Ivalice that would hold on as an icon for projects. I'll think the prize in the meantime.

Though as a thank you, I want to step it up and make a few more FE-style FFT characters in the near future. It's what I'm decent at at least (Of course I hope to learn more) and I think sharing talents and contributing work is what it's all about

Thanks man. I dont really quite follow the 16-bit rule or something especially in FE or FFT so I'm wondering if it's not breaking any rules. Plus I'm mainly a splicer, though my best custom works are the Elder Scrolls ones in my deviantArt. Especially since we were supposed to make a 'translation' of FFT characters into another game, presumably a game that runs with 16 bit.

Zalbaag's in progress I guess.

New here. Joined exactly at this point to introduce myself at the same time the contest fits a category I'm fairly good with (Namely, FE Sprites. Really need some work with FFT Sprites still, which is also why I joined). Been splicing sprites for awhile but it's only now I joined. Brought over some of my stuff from FE, mostly to learn more of spriting FFT, heh. Hope to have fun with the community either way.

Emblem Tactics (For now)
From Fire Emblem 6, 7, 8 Style Portraits

Delita's in his Shrine Knight attire, looking both regal and stern.

Gave Cloud that distinct FFT jumper look at the same time made him look like a wastelander. He probably looked lost in a post-apocalyptic dark age scenario, especially coming from an advanced place.

Did I do the format right? I'll work on other characters as well as a write up later.

Name's Diethe. I'm a sprite-ist and splicer for both FFT and FE sprites, though I don't follow conventional rules much such as 16 color-bit stuff, but I try. Found out about this place awhile ago from the people at Heroes of Ivalice FFT Simulation Forum and I'm currently working with the team at Final Fantasy Simulation. I'm pretty sure I've been lurking around the forums since like 2007, gathering inspiration and 'body parts' for sprites. I've been giving you guys credit and learning a lot from everyone, so now I figured maybe its time I shared some of my works and knowledge in return, little it may be. I primarily joined only NOW because I saw the FFT characters abroad contest and I have a couple of FFT characters, FE styled up my sleeve though I doubt they're better than the established names I see around.

I have a deviantart called diethe.deviantart.com mostly for my FE Sprites and most of my FFT Sprites (Spliced mostly from the stuff in this site) are found in the above mentioned Simulation Forums (HOI and primarily Final Fantasy Simulation now, linked in one of your affiliates or websites I think?). I'm a big roleplayer on various MMOs such as Cryptic Games ones and WoW formerly as well as Forum Roleplay such as The Elder Scrolls: Call of Time and formerly Warden's Vigil.

So hi. I'm here to learn and to be learned from.

Also, this was supposed to be my avatar but since I'm at the office and my portrait only version is at home, I'll wait. Kudos to GeneralStrife's cape part and the Banon sprite's err...face.
