Was not expecting to see half a dozen new posts here after not being around for several months. This whole OP can be summed up very easily like this. You see in that link how there's that diagram where the 3 circles overlap? You see the "Games I want to have made" circle? You see the big part of that circle that doesn't overlap with any other circles? That's where those hacks belong that you used to see on FFH all the time where the person wanted to hack the whole story. Those games do not get finished. Those patches are fun to think about, but that's it. They don't go anywhere.

There's really nothing wrong with that shade of blonde unless you're trying to make it look like something in particular. It's a good portrait overall, but the tips of the hair are too choppy-looking. You need to make that area more defined.

The white highlights around the holes on the helment in the dark knight port are too bright. The ones on the left hand holes aren't in the right place either by the looks of it. Have you tried the Dark Knight in-game? It might be ok, but the sprite has a lot of dark, shadowy areas and sometimes these sorts of sprites REALLY stick out next to the other sprites in the game. This was the main problem with Smash's (awesome) Kain sprite and a couple of others I've seen in videos.
