Well, for example:
If it only happens during random battles, which abilities do not work, against which enemies, who's using it, if you are experiencing other bugs, on which emulator are you playing, and so on...
The more things you tell us, the easier will be for us to find/fix the issue

"Doublecast" is indeed a cool Red Mage ability.
Sadly, as far as I know (more knowledgeable ppl might correct me on this) the only way to make such a spell in FFT without hacking is to use the same formula used by Rafa & Malak' vanilla spells;
The problem with that formula is that it doesn't use faith in the dmg calculation, which sucks because it should "doublecast" spells that normally use it...

Actually, 1.02 skipped (what I think is) the asm that made the game crash.
Cannot say that for sure though...

P.s: The patch (1.02) should be playable but the text on half of the spells isn't updated (because of that fftactext problem I posted some time ago)...do you think I should post it anyway or wait for a proper, bug-free, fully working release?

I'm still working on 1.02, but willpower is low, for 2 reasons:
1) I'm lazy
2) Things like this make me feel ever lazier

Glad you enjoyed the patch :-)

About your question...the DD isn't 100% completed in the last released version, that's why you are encountering "problems" and strange/bugged battles
However, you should still be able to advance: IIRC, the exit changes each time you enter the map (there are 4/5 possible exits) so you should be fine...you just need some patience :p

IIRC there was a good "create your own custom character" tutorial by Jon, but I cannot find it anymore...
(An old post refers to it, but the link leads nowhere)

It happears in ch3 like in the "vanilla" version
Sadly no, you have to use the FFTPatcher or discover it the hard way (Poaching every single monster...)

About Rad, Alicia and Lavian...yes, they are very good units
- Rad works great as hybrid unit, and has a very versatile skillset like you already said
- Alicia and Lavian are Squires (A class with a good skillset) on steroids, because the ability to equip everything is awesome (Earlygame when you can't afford much stuff, and lategame when you get all the awesome rare items)

And remember, you can just "feed" your generics to Rad, Alicia and Lavian to keep most of the unlocked abilities

P.s: Don't worry about your English, you are not the only non-native English speaker here  ;)

jk aside, I still need to:
- Finish FFTactext work (program stopped working for some random reason)
- Edit the world map instruction to make Beowulf quest work
- Playtest everything (Currently at the beginning of ch2)

It will take some time :-( feel free to casually play 1.01c to get the hang of the patch

Yes, ch4 is a bit harder than the previous, but you have so many special units it should be still easy...

FFT+ removes guests from the party. You never see them in the roster.
The Beowulf sidequest triggers when you answer "yes" and hire him in the bar. He joins as a guest, the dot turns red and you can go there and start the fights.
If you remove the "join after event" flag from that event, the dot turns red but when you go there the fight doesn't start. It's like if the game checks if Beowulf actually is in the party, even if you already said "yes" and thus triggered the sidequest.
I hope I made myself clear
