With 100% magic evade I'm pretty sure you can dodge Aqua Soul and its counterparts 100% of the time.

Right now I play:

Wild Arms XF (PSP) - an SRPG similar to FFT yet different in many ways. really good game for an FFT fan.

Crisis Core (PSP) - decent action RPG game. Graphics and story are great and the controls are solid but gameplay is lacking.

Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii) - I love this game can't say more than that.

You should probably put this in melonhead's topic where he has the updates to FFT Patcher, since he's the one who would implement the change.

well I can answer number 1 for you.

You can't fix the problem easily, and I'm pretty sure you would have to draw Cloud doing that motion and paste it over the original one.

If I'm wrong hopefully someone corrects me.

I agree Blue Mage should have more requirements.

QuoteBlue Mage...
Renverser? Which is just a fancy term for "Reverse" as it uses enemies skills against them that might fit, somewhat...

Ah! Here we are! "Emulator" as it emulates the moves used against it. That might fit it's terms.

Emulator is the job name for the pseudo-Blue Mage in the new Wild Arms game for PSP. So it could work although I don't see why we just don't stick with Blue Mage though. FFXI still uses that as the name.

QuoteCharge - CTR = X+1 for Charge +X, except +7 is 7, +10 is 9, and +20 is 12

I don't know why but although Charge is better I can't seem to wrap my head around that being the Archer ability. I wouldn't be able to see myself using their abilities.

Charge - Same as using Charge +3

Aim Throat - Low Damage, Adds: Silence

Poison Arrow - Low Damage, Adds: Poison

Double Shot - Attacks twice with less damage and slightly lower accuracy

Can't think of anything else for now for Archer.

Quotei forgot about blue mage. this is the skillset i CAREFULLY tested in my patch (in which blue mage had the same multiplyers of geo):

Choco esuna
Choco Cure
Choco Meteor
Blow fire
thunder/aqua/ice/wind soul
mimic titan
lick
magic spirit
goblin punch
odd soundwave

The Blue Mage skills look good, but I've always been used to a more varied group of skills like one ability from a many different types of monsters. A couple of moves that would be nice additions I think are:

- Drain Touch
- Thunder/Ice Bracelet (instead of soul, the soul moves may be good for elemental weakness but they are far too weak to be useful most of the time)
- Some Ahriman move (Death Sentence, Bravery Down one)
- Self-Destruct (although you already mentioned it)
- One of the pig moves (The farting or snorting one are not bad, their raising one is pretty good to but a little broken as it is at the moment)

If new monsters are added, then one of their moves can be added as well to the Blue Mage skillset.

QuoteCactuar: good in theory, but dunno how to do Speed Up & probably 250 needles; Needle skill is fine

As for the needle thing it could be something based on the enemy's level.

As for the speed up, isn't possible to have yell hit more than one area? Wouldn't something like that be possible for monsters.

Quoteyeah elbdibs was crap he was slow and has every one of the apandas do all of his work XD

Don't really need to take him out. Just buff up his stats and maybe give him a few more moves, although they are pretty good as is.

Tonberries or Cactuars seems to be my best suggestion for new monsters if any are added.

Tonberries Abilities

- Knife (either instant/high chance of death or lose a large % of hp)

- Grudge (dmg increases based on how many tonberries or total enemies killed by that character)

- Lantern (some fire based long range damage)

Cactuars

- Speed Up/Evasion Up (some buff that adds speed/evasion to just them or maybe also surrounding allies) *only physical evasion

- Needle (adds poison/blind to enemy, high accuracy)

- 1000 needles (unfortunately no ideas for this one since it is technically a broken move if you can invite them)

Also it would be kind of cool if you could fight a special battle where a moogle ends up joining your party. Its abilities would mostly be support I think.

Why not just give Bards and Dancers innate Fly? I also disagree with giving them 4 movement.

Well don't forget also that onion knights only become good when they are lvl 8. Prior to that they have crappy stats and can't use any of their special equipment, which needs to be won in some difficult multiplayer battles (as well as all the rest of the new items).

The only way to make them lvl 8 is to master 16 other jobs (every 2 jobs = +1 lvl). Pretty sure squire, dark knight, chemist and mime are the jobs that don't count.

Regardless though its a huge pain to get them to the state of huge stats. Add that onto the fact that they only gain lvls though the rarest monster's monster skill ability.

The job may have been lazily made and kinda broken but the work required to use them to their full potential balances it out.

Besides you can easily just break their equipment and they end up as worthless as they started out.

Well in the PSP version Balthier is supposed to be a Sky Pirate. He has all the steal abilities except they are start with Plunder instead of Steal. If you really want a pirate you could always add an eyepatch or something to his sprite and import it into the game.

As for his abilities I have nothing to offer the only pirate I've really ever seen in an FF game is Corsair in FFXI and all their abilities have to do with shooting and random chance (rolling dice for ability boosts). Maybe you want to imitate that a bit.

Basically to play FFT off of your PSP all you need to do is create/download and ISO of the game and then copy it to the appropriate folder. The PSX version takes a little more work though.

PSP Version

If you have the UMD download USB Special Storage System linked below:

http://rapidshare.com/files/22703347/USBSSS.rar

With this program you can rip any ISO straight from the UMD. All instructions should be in the readme file.

After that just take put the file into a folder and name it whatever you want (FFT, FFTactics, etc.) then create a folder in the root of your PSP called ISO's and put the folder you just named into that ISO folder.

By the way after you have the ISO ripped you can apply any changes with the FFT Patcher.

PSX Version

The PSX version is a bit more tricky. You first need to download the game or rip the game from your own copy of it using a program that creates ISO's. ISO producer works well link to it is below.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Too ... ucer.shtml

Once you have the ISO made you need another program to convert it into a format read by the PSP. For that you need to use Popstation Gui. The link is below.

http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/downlo ... oad&did=24

This program converts and compresses the ISO you made into an EBOOT file readable by the PSP. By the way with this file you can also customize EBOOT so that when you finally put the game on your PSP the pictures you see while selection it are whatever you customized them to be.

Anyway once you create your EBOOT, put the EBOOT in a new folder named whatever you want (i.e. FFT, FF Tactics, etc.). After that put your newly created folder in the GAME folder on your PSP.

So it would be your Root folder (i.e. Removable disk E: or F: ... or whichever one it is ---> PSP folder ---> GAME folder. Once you copy the folder with EBOOT there you can start playing the game.

Last note though, I'm not sure if you can use FFT Patcher to customize the PSX version after you change it into an EBOOT. I used to always customize the regular ISO first then change it. Once the new versions of FFT Patcher came out I didn't bother with the PSX version anymore and went straight the PSP version so if you find out the answer this please post it here.

Any directions you need for the programs should be in the readme files that come with each respective program.

After seeing Austin's topic I figured I'd make one of my own.

I just bought SSBB a few days ago and if anyone else has it I would love to play against them online.

Anyway my FC is below.
