Then what is transparent good for?

this removes a player advantage over the enemy

Transparent is now nothing more than a special effect all the ghosts will have it innate/permenant as well as X-Zone status

I actually think that's lame.

Perhaps, I do not have very good reasons, but I simply despise anything sitting in a game with little to no purpose.

It's fine for the AI to use it.  In fact, it's fine for AI units to be able to see/target Transparent Player Units.

Well, initially i wanted transparent to work equally the same on both sides, with that not being possible i resorted to use it as a special effect.

to make it equal you can always make transparent ignore attacks, that way you can't attack on of their transparent units like the wouldn't be able to attack yours

does that ignore all attacks or just physical ones?

I might consider making new oracle spells "Vanish" and "Fascination"

I haven't tested it out yet but it was an idea I thought about because you can't attack someone that has been petrified so I figured checking off that box would work with transparent too.

the only thing im not sure of is if it really ignores attacks or if it just makes AI ignore them

i had tried for a while to get transparent the way i wanted, the only thing ive been able to do is use it in combo with other status

I just tested it and it doesn't work, I guess you just have to open up the file that has status effects (Battle.bin)? and find where jump, crystal, dead, and treasure are at, find what they have in common and copy that over transparent. And test of course.

unfortunately that doesnt work either, there appear to be other things hard coded into each status effect since even razele hasn't fixed them

IMO poison/regen have always and should always work on Max HP (seriously, every FF ever has done it that way).

I agree, the % of HP thing doesn't make much sense
