I have double and triple checked my sound plugin. Tried the default plugin. Tried eternal SPU plugin 1.50. Nothing seems to stop this strange speed up.
The video is running at normal speed. Everything looks clean and good. Its just sounds that for some reason are way faster than they should be. Almost like sound for w/e reason is running at Uncapped FPS.
I tested several other games and they all work correctly. Sound is fine.
Any ideas?

literally 5 seconds after I posted this, I noticed I had CPU at 1.5x. which apparently works great in all my other ROMs, but not FFT. So just fyi if anyone else runs into this sound issue, make sure your CPU overclocking (under Options) is set to 1x.
