emulator issues - psxv1.13

Hi, using psx v1.13 and running fft iso, unpatched or patched no difference, the emulator just runs terrible. it seems like it runs too fast for the most part and then stutters a lot.  I have a pretty high end system but have never run this emulator on this system (older computers, many times).

Anyone else have this issue and figure it out? I have tried two separate psx1.13 files and both have done the same.

I have a very high end laptop and have never had pSX run any different on it than any other computer ive used it on in the last decade.

Yeah, I've never had issues on it before, now I have a good computer and it's just awful. not sure why.

Have you tried downloading it again? IIRC there are a few different versions floating around, including one I think Xifanie hacked to increase the frame rate or something. Or maybe look at the File Hashes in Properties after you right click on it.

Here's what I got.
