I'm doing a Beoulve Playthrough where I only use the 4 children of Balbanes and was wondering if I should go for a 5th char, Make a Balbanes with All Swordskill Skillset or just go with the 4 siblings.

Hmm... well Delita kind of counts as a Beoulve doesn't he?

sadness can be turned to delight.
A nation destroyed cannot be restored,
the dead brought back to life."

yeah I could add his Squire Sprite and maybe give him his Holy Sword Skillset.

How do I change the name of job classes and job commands in the FFT Patcher?

Trying to name Ramza's Squire Classes something else and name his command Beoulve Sword if possible.

Changing JP costs is rather simple... Just find the skill on the list, and you'll see a box near the upper-left corner of the window that allows you to input the JP cost of the selected skill.

Changing the names... that's a little more involved (and it's been discussed in a few places around here), but basically it involves using the text editor included with the patcher, and as someone here already said...
Quote from: "Zozma"there are 10 job names for each job, and 5 ability names for each skill all found in different files..... youve gotta edit them all if you miss one youll see the old job name in one place and the new one everywhere else.

Not sure how to go about doing that. Do u know how to change the command names? Cause I'm making a Ramza Heavenly Knight Patch. Basically where all his squire abilities are replaced in memory of his father and brothers.

I have the skillsets for his Guts Command Set for chapter 1-4 sorted out and such just wanna change his job name and skill command.

If you have either of the last 2 or 3 versions of FFTPatcher it comes with a program called FF TacText which is obviously a text editor. It isn't perfect so keep the file size the same or smaller. Messing with Battle.bin and World.Bin isn't recommended unless it's with a hex editor.

I say put Balbanes in. You've already got the trifecta of ownsomeness, why not make a Heavenly Knight?
