Okay, okay how about this:

Make Auto Potion not Brave dependent? Like... fixed at 40%?

Well, my beef on auto potion is it's instant 70% chance to negate 150 damage. Sure, it's Godbless in 1.3 because it's oh-so-easy to reach and damage mages.

All I'm saying is that it needs a little nerf so that other skills will be worthwhile to use during mid-game.

Counter Flood doesn't heal you. Hamedo works only within your weapon range, Damage Split halves damage, sure it's better than auto potion when things hit for 300 but that's endgame and you're always guaranteed to receive damage instead of "If dmg is < 150, then 0 dmglol".

I'm an auto potion whore but that doesn't mean I like it. Heck, I daresay it's broken. It turns mages into freakin' tanks.

As for Caution and Warn, would it be possible for them to give defend and then protect or shell or all of them? Otherwise you're better off with auto potion which negates 150 damage.

I don't mean to sound sarcastic, sorry.

Anyway, how about this:

Potion : Heals 30% HP
Hi-Potion: Heals 60 to 80 HP (I mean literally, the HP healed can be any value from 60 to 80 like axes)
X-Potion: Either discard this or make it unusable by Auto Potion. If that can't be done, It'll heal 50 to 100 HP?

The values have been decreased so how about this:

Give Throw Item an added % heal value. Like... Heal 20% HP. It doesn't matter what your Chemist throws, it heals an added 20% HP.
So that's 30% + 20% HP for Potion and cure status + heal 20% HP for remedy for example.

Is it possible?

Oh, as for Samurai specializing in Draw Out, how about giving them high HPM? That way they can survive jumping in the middle of an angry crowd.
Top that with an improved weapon guard % with Katanas?

On an entirely different note, is this patch for easy type ONLY?
I haven't tried it (easytype) yet despite my whinning. It's STILL hard, right?

This is pretty sweet. I always wish the game was fun like the show.

The lack of interaction in the game made it feel so lonely.

Okay, I skimmed through everything and I have a bunch of suggestions:

1.) Potion = 45 HP, Hi Potion = 80 HP, X Pot = 160 Hp

2.) Change "Auto Potion" to "Auto Cure 2" OMFG LOLOLLO PWNENNDNED

3.) Basic Skill SUCKS, man. Sure it's pretty neat to have but as soon as you get something else, you forget it entirely while its counterpart "Item" still gets used until Chapter 4.

I like the the idea of Dash doing random damage, how's about 100% casting interruption? You're nerfing movements anyway and besides, it'll feel more "strategic". >_>
As for Throw Stone, how about 3 panels, 40% confuse? It'll be like Charm.

Otherwise people will just equip Item or Steal or something.

4.) Gafgarog: Didn't you know, Agrias? His name is Ramza Beoulve, the youngest shota of the Beoulve brothers. I bet you're wet now, you fucking whore.

5.) Gafgarog duel.

Ramza: Wait here, I'll squeeze one off and open the gate.
Gafgarion: I don't know how you got in but you didn't notice an ambush. Oh... and your jokes are tasteless.
*Enemy units appear*
Gafgarion: Ramza, it's me you must fight with. Teleport's been taken out, you can't cheese your way out of this one that easily. HEAVEN OR HELL DUEL LET'S ROCK.

6.) Wiegraf: Draw your sword Ramza.
Ramza: I may be a heretic but that doesn't mean I'm gay. Not that I hate them or anything...
Wiegraf: What's wrong? If you don't... I will.
Ramza: Miluda will be disappointed, here you are surrounded by women during our past fights, and now you're suddenly
asking me to "draw my sword?"
Wiegraf: Miluda? Who gives a damn about that bitch? She couldn't tell a cock from a stick if it hit her in the face.
     Ramza: Okay. Mental image. Ugh.

     *After beating him*

Wiegraf: Let's have it out here... *breathing heavily*... oh yeaaah. Feels good, man.

7.) Warn's stupid.

8.) Make this an official update for the original 1.3 LOLOLOLEOLA

9.) I like Teleport working like Defend. Can it cost a shitload of MP? It seems positioning will be vital in this mod.

10.) Angry Delita? ... oh by the way, I fucked your sister. I shot her because she got pregnant. If she gave good head, I probably would've let her live................. NOT!

Quote from: "Aquilae"Elemental is hardly amazing. Damage isn't good (even with PA + 4 / 2 instead of PA + 2 / 2) and statuses are uncommon and shouldn't be relied upon. I'd use it if only for status proc, but it needs too specialised a setup to even match normal attack damage.

Probably why they had that range in Vanilla.

EDIT: Love the spoof intro.

I'm aware of some hacked roms out there.

Maybe I'm asking for something too specific. I actually wanted a community like Hackticks and a 'deep' hack like 1.3 but then again, not a lot of game are deep enough for that level of editing.

Oh, and lets talk about old games and wallow in nostalgia while we're at it.

I know there's Symphony of the Night but the guy hacking it won't share?

Anything else?

My all time favorites were SotN and FFT.
FF7, SaGa Frontier, Donkey Kong Country series, Mario World for massive nostalgia.

... and those dungeon games like... Chocobo, Azure Dreams, etc. I really loved PS1.

Okay, no problem.
We'll talk more about that.

Honestly, I'm thinking of more on actual combat choreography rather than "skill/ability whoring". That is to say, in game stats/skills won't be the main focus of your combat like the in-game cutscenes where there isn't much emphasis on "magic" and "defying physics". (Sure, people turning into demons but no DBZ/Bleach crap).

Of course, that impression towards the game might be just mine.

Even having said that, we really can't prevent if there are a-holes running around writing "Omfg I parry every thang lolol den I slit ur throat roflcopter".

Seriously, I'll disregard posts like that and kill the said character right on the spot or something.

Having said that: How's 1 to 3 abilities learned in your active skills? 6 maximum including secondary skills.

I like your concept of job changing but the problem is the severe lack of interest, that means lack of players and other people playing other jobs.

Combat system will be narrative as well, and if by "honest" you mean balanced, apparently simply mentioning "no overpowered characters allowed" seem to work in most RPs.

Besides, I'd flat out deny a character in the sign up stage if I sense bullshit in the first place.

EDIT

Uh... this reply sounded a little mean... it's unintentional though.

Oh, I forgot. I'll set up some rules as well about character skills.

IE: You can't be a Holy Knight... well... you can but I gotta love your back story and RSM, secondary abilities cannot be changed, take in mind when you narrate your battles. If you put in Weapon Guard, your character must be damn good at parrying stuff. Put in auto potion, character better be innovative in using it while some guy's trying to kill him.

------------------
Sample Format:
------------------
Name:
Age:
Height: (Use Ft , Inch)
Weight: (Use LBS)

Appearance: (Be as easy to remember as possible)
Gear: (Associated with appearance, you equip a Thief Hat, you better look like you're wearing one and not "He wears a white helmet full of darkness and then "Equip: Thief Hat")

Job: (Special Job characters are allowed depending on the back story. Will deny and not obliged to mention why.)
Secondary:
Reaction:
Support:
Movement: (If it's Move + 3 for example, your battle narration would be "He lunged so fast his attacker couldn't prepare a second shot with the bow" and crap like that.

You can't change jobs halfway without a good reason and you can only change job once. Make an arc for it, everyone will play in it.

Animals are counted as characters.

------
System
------

We'll be using a "mission system". Players are given missions one after another, or a break time if you want. You're free to use the system as you see fit to further develop your characters, I, being the host will give out missions for you to play.

Missions consist of:
Location
Condition
Objective
Etc

Like... Hunt down this drug dealer on Dorter. Intelligence say that he'll be there three days from now and will do a deal with a well known noble, we don't know who the noble is but we know that the drugs he deal are a highly potent potion.

While doing the missions, if you're still not finished, I'll interfere with you to... 'fuck' you up and stuff. It's up to your brains to get your characters in the said predicament.

It can be light hearted and it can be serious, it gets deeper later on.

He didn't get stabbed by Ovelia at the end, so Ivalice had one ruler.

I'll make rules about moving as well. Like... 2 to 3 posts per person a day or something...

EDIT:

I honestly expected around 5 to 10 takers, but wow... nobody seems to be that interested at all. I mean, with around... 5 different people replying, I'd start right away.

So, an RP in case you don't know... which you probably do is a Role Play.
You make characters and write a story with other people making things up all the way.

(I feel really stupid explaining it but it's pretty much the only intro I can think of.)

I've done this a couple of times, I did well except none of them finished and people got bored of it after a while which is perfectly fine too.

I got a good premise: How about an alternate time line that happens after the game where Delita didn't... end up like how he did?

You play as part of a peace-keeping force being given various missions.
Aside from the main story I have in mind, players are highly encouraged to use the said system to explore their character's own back story.

Players are allowed to have 1 to 3 characters. Stats and systems are irrelevant, the game will be played as if we're writing a story.

Rules will be discussed more depending on how interested people are.

u cna't typ lik dis tho lolol

Well?

Alright. I'll try it. Thanks.

EDIT

Got it working. The Net Framework thing did the trick, it made me install Windows Installer 1.3 but whatever.

Thanks.
