I just discovered this awesome 1.3 patch and can't wait to play it, but the experience on console is so much better, so is it possible to play a burned ISO on a PS3? If so, how?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, you CAN on a chipped PS2 or PS1 though.

It's theoretically possible if you put Linux on your PS3 but lag would ruin the fun.

:( Thanks. I'm getting some lag with my emulator; how bad would Linux be?

Linux on the PS3 is realy bad it only uses a one of it's eight cell processors and has only 256mb ram so yeah sorry bout your luck. You could try to get a better computer.

Just buy a PSX controller adapter. I paid about $15 for mine.
The turbo function is priceless.

Normally games have a higher tendency to bug on emulator. With FFT it's the opposite; there are less glitches freezing the game.

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
<R999> My target market is not FFT mod players
<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

You can get chips for the ps1&2 that override them or something to that effect. Allowing you to play burned games.

No, actually ever since 13027 you have not been able to play on your PSX. There are glitches that occur due to the ASM hacks.

When you say 'ever since 13027' does that mean the version of the patcher it was created on? Or will a patch that does not need ASM work?

FFTv1.3 has a glitch from 1.3027 onwards where weapon attacks don't function properly on the console.

Oh, just 1.3 then.

Would a different patched game, say, mercenaries, work?

considering brother LD will likely be using some ASM hacks, not very likely.

Would something that DOESN'T use ASM work though? Actually, what ASM is used in 1.3? I thought it was just basic FFTPatcher.

disable screen scroll JP glitch, phoenix down doesn't one-shot undead, and one or two others.

Edit:  And there's been some event editing (Vormav 1v1 just doesn't appear), but that has little effect on the playability on an actual psx.

Well actually Event editing shouldn't cause any trouble with the initial system... not that I would know actually, eh heh...

Didn't some people say damage formulae were messed up playing 1.3 on a PSX?
