What is FFTA Arena?
FFTA Arena is a mod created with multiplayer AI battles in mind. Based very heavily off of FFMaster/PX/Aero's FFT Arena patch, FFTA Arena is very much the same thing... except for FFTA. FFTA Arena features two teams, each with three units facing off against each other in mortal combat of DOOOOOOM! FFTA Arena is based off of FFTA: Grim Grimoire, and as such has its ability, job, and mechanics changes.
What are FFTA Arena's rules?
1) Each team must have three units.
2) Each team may have a maximum of one monster unit.
3) Each unit is at level 50.
4) Unit placement is random.
5) There may only be three skills from each skillset on each unit. For example, a Black Mage may know Firaga, Blizzaga, and Return Magic, but may not know Firaga, Blizzaga, Poison, and Return Magic.
6) A skill may only be used once in a team. For example, all three of a unit's team may not know Full-Life. This also applies to items. Items also follow this rule. For example, you may not have two units with a White Robe.
7) A unit may only have one Accessory.
8) Units are assigned random names.
9) Geomancy, Reflex, Strikeback, and Turbo MP are banned on human units. They are permitted on monsters, however.
10) The only permitted units allowed in a player's team are Humes, Bangaa, Viera, Nu Mou, Moogles, and monsters. Totema and special jobs are not allowed on one's team.

Hello. While I admit my enthusiasm for FFTAA isn't quite the same as Arena. However I would like to ensure that all the hardwork put into this gets recognized. I was about to get started on a team when I realized that I don't know the jobs, their equips, their abilities, and their stats. I see the information about weapons, gear etc, but no information about the actual classes. Is there an ETA for class information?

Go for it. The easiest way (the way I was going to do it, anyways) was to post the level 50 stat average for each playable job as found in the editor as well as equip options and elemental affinities.

I've been lurking in here a bit, along with the FFT:A sub-forum as a whole even as much as I still have some...negative feelings towards the series. Looking over your changes for Grim Grimoire have been interesting.
Given this seems to be based on that, I have to ask something since I'm not seeing it on the ban list: Is Reaver's Level 5 Death spell really allowed given everyone is at 50?
I know that Fortune Rings are apparently still around, but that just seems like it would be...over-centralizing if it wasn't banned. I'm not sure about the hit rate of it, admittedly, but I don't think there's merit in allowing anything [that can] cause a total party kill if you don't absolutely defend against it.
Other than that, I vaguely recall wondering if something else "should" be banned, but I forget. It can likely wait, though, as can the questions about certain limitations such.

Eternal (or Jumza), when you get the chance after the more important stuff is up, would it be possible for you to also put up the MP cost for things? Also, whether or not something (read: anything) can self-target? I can't remember if things beyond spells can hit the self, like the Ninja moves and stuff, and even if they could in vanilla, they might not be able to now. I also only vaguely remember that things tended not to ignore allies, even the Summons in FFT:A, so that might need to be noted as well.
Also, you may have to explain with a few blurbs of what stats do, especially in the case of Resistance and elemental stuff--Resist in FFT:A was less than Halve in FFT, right?
Finally, when it comes to Myrmidon's pseudo-Mighty Sword abilities of Icewolf & Shellbust, do those also do damage in addition to breaking equipment? Or do they "only" break armor?
P.S. Damn, Lilith's elemental resistances are stacked, especially compared to all the other allowed monsters.
Status EDIT: Oh, right. I almost forgot entirely that statuses also probably need to be qualified, at least in the instances of the FFT:A only statuses like Boost and Delay and Astra and what not.

As far as the almost-Mighty Sword skills go, no, the breaking ones do not cause damage.
