Hmm, I second that, screenshots and videos can do a lot for the site.

Good idea, each section could have their own screenshots, so we wouldn't be confused with other patches' screenshots. I'll start working on that.

Do you think there is a place on the site for just custom Portraits? Obvoiusly we have the sprite section for sprites, but I would feel weird submitting a stand alone portrait there. However I think having a collection of all the in game portraits at native resolution and all custom portraits all in one place would be a helpful resource to spriters/artists.

Well people got their own avatar, custom sprites have portraits as a presentation and ripped portraits are in the image gallery. I'm pretty sure that leave us with your portrait alone which I'm not really sure where I could put it myself. :s

Open your profile down below you will see "Show Gallery".

also I think there are still 3 more missing portraits they where with Goltana.

You can search them from this site.

Oh that thing. That isn't a particularly useful tool for spriters though. It is great for choosing an avatar, but all the avatars are double size (not that easy to shrink) and not in a place that you can really look at the and download them easily. It just seems like it would be good to have a tab on the main page for portraits in their native resolution, part for the official portraits and a section for custom portraits as well.

If you don't already have all of those in native resolution I would could help with ripping them.

The resizing of avatars are just easy because from the image gallery its size is 64x96 I just need to resize it as 32x48 using GIMP.

I just don't start editing from those now I just resize it before I can edit it but sometimes when I need to edit the 64x96 sized portrait I just add a square of a color to it.. you know what I mean here?

Yeah you mean when you are working in double size you just make your edits 4 pixels instead of 1. Well thanks for tell me that GIMP could do that, it isn't one of the programs I use currently. I still wish there was a real portrait gallery on the main page though haha.

Can't you just shrink it down? NeoPaint can do it with no problem.

how about a download section for custom/ recolored effect files with small screenshots of the effect and the name of the original effect file it was made from?
(hmmm maybe this isn't so popular right now?)

But it's another unique feature which I believe should be properly explored, it's just the knowledge of making it and doing so that should become a mainstay, custom effects are always and incredible touch.

(this probably could go on the sprite part but its more of a question)

@Zodiac, should we upload the psp sprites that aren't available on the psx version like aliste, luso and balthier or should it just strictly be customs?

I'm really not sure about this...
Because they are already in the game; just the port.

And most of them suck.

yeah, theres only a few new ones anyway and the dark knight was poorly done. luso also is buggy when you get in the water (in the true game)

ah well, if you question it then id have to agree that we shouldn't put them up. btw i submitted beatrix

I think the problem is they based the Dark & Onion Knights on the FF3ds artwork. But I agree we should make better ones and post those.
