The bob should be the deepest at the length of each stride.  From standing it should go down twice as one leg advances, then back up twice to the standing position, then down twice when the other leg is going forward.

Oh my gosh I am so done with this walking animation. Here is the last gif preview of this. Unless he looks horrible in game I don't plan on making many more adjustments other than perhaps a slight arm movement if people think it is necessary. I corrected the bob on this preview too like you were saying. I was trying to go up on instead of down for one of the frames of animation, but that was wrong.

Thanks, I'm quite happy with the results. I have been using the black mage as a reference, though I have been drifting away from it (which might have been a mistake). I think I have some pretty good ideas on how to make this guy work for a complete sprite though either way.

Here is a quick color swap of Zozma's edit of the little boy sprite. This character is a young noble of royal blood. Bonus points to anyone who can name him. I'm wondering if he needs to a pit more noble looking, what do people think?

He looks like he could be Algus's little brother, so yeah, I can see him being noble.  What an adorable little bastard (if we're to believe the rumors).  He may not be the king of Ivalice, thanks to Delita, but he sure looks plucky nonetheless.

if he were to be given a cape... it would open the doorway for ff4 Palom and Porom to be created.... i second the cape!

I was thinking a little gold trim could work well too. I'm not so sure about the cape though. But I might just give it a try for kicks. I'm playing FFIV right now for the first time, maybe after I meet those characters I will be more motivated to give it a try.

"how is it that you(he) got the Starry Frog spell to include multiple spell effects?"

i may want to include a spell that uses multiple effects, but i assume this is probably a result of editing the video recording and not actually creating a spell that casts off multiple effects...but if it is, HOW DO I DO IT?
