Epsxe and Actual Controllers

Is it possible to link my buttons of a controller (e.g. my ps3 controller) to what is registered by epsxe for a more... natural experience?

In all actuallity, I did, and that was my first option except that after I downloaded it, the read me stated that using it on a 64 bit windows could kill your usb ports. Regardless, about 20 minutes of searching, and hour and a half at the mall, and $20 later, I got it working using this: http://www.motioninjoy.com/
