Is there a Save Editor for the PSX version?

I just thought that, what with there being a PSP one, I assumed a PSX one is already out, but I'm not aware of one. It would be quite useful for, in particular, changing character names...for reasons I won't explain yet

More seriously, I hear there was a way to alter your savefiles, although you need to mod.
