It isn't a side ponytail, her hair is just to that side. She doesn't have anything "holding it in place".
The only thing I wish she didn't have was that leg belt that looks like it can hold a small gun. They should have just given her a one legged stocking or something that had a tear in it; this would match the arm sleeve thing she has going on. Otherwise I like that outfit it is unique and a lot less goofy then say.... Vaan's outfit lmao
