Mmm hmm, I saw this coming. You know what though, I might be out of the tourney now, but at least I can go home proud because it wasn't solely Mallory's Insult that lost me the match (like it did against CT5Holy in the winner's bracket), I lost to RNG and poor AI decisions on my team's part. Which is one of the most common ways a team can lose a match. But damn, Mallory almost gave me a heart attack every time she went for Insult; thankfully most of them missed. GG, until next time.

That samurai, though. Her will to fight was strong, but her heart was weak, falling for the chick magnet himself.

Quote from: silentkasterI just realized he'll be making this team inactive again very shortly...

I might actually keep it around longer than usual, seeing how my fall team currently blows needs to be recreated from the ground up anyway and probably won't introduce them until like mid-October or something.

After the atrocity that Mallory pulled in the match with CT5Holy, she decided to get her act together for this match. Good girl. Seriously though, Don't Moves everywhere. But yeah, I figured that this would be the result. Reks's team simply has too many weaknesses for my team to exploit; specifically berserk. Although the samurai and dancer could do some pretty significant damage, once Insult and/or Death Sentence landed on that samurai and the dancer neutralized, in the long run, it wouldn't have mattered what the priest or squire did. Also, lulz at the 27 damage Tornado on Mackenzie and the 98% missed Steal Accessory. Pretty one-sided match overall. GG Reks.

Now if they can get past a certain Attack Up ninja and a certain Two Handed Thief, I think we might just make it off the doomtrain. *prays to RNG goddess* Please, oh PLEASE don't let Mallory be stupid next round...

Man, I knew it. I even went to a fortune teller and she warned me that darkness was about to befall my team because there was a traitor amongst them. I guess she was plotting revenge for me calling her stupid earlier. Seriously though, three berserks on that ninja? And THEY ALL LANDED? As if that wasn't enough to royally screw my team, the usual RNG shenanigans played its part at points, too. At least I got further than I expected. We get revenge on the doomtrain, ladies. It's a matter of time.

Speed disadvantage + little status removal was mainly the reason why Vireblaze lost. Slow, as we all know, is devastating, and if a team can't deal with it, and if the enemy team has fast hasted units like thieves and whatnot, then there's not much said team can do, really. But yeah, I figured HP Restore would be obnoxious again here, but that's mainly due to RNG factors. Seeing as my girls all have low to mediocre damage at best, HP Restore is going to be obnoxious no matter how I look at it - the team isn't designed to deal with HP Restore via damage, but by DS/status instead. GG Vireblaze.

EDIT: Time to knuckle up ladies. We're against CT5Holy next round. This should be good.

Revive on an undead unit...bag melees on a HP Restore unit. I hope to all that is holy that Mallory isn't going to act so dumb during future matches.

Yeah it is FFMaster. But's he's been AWOL for the past year or so. Dunno what's going on with him.

Submitted my team.

I finally get to run a setup I've always wanted to try but couldn't because of limits.

Yeah, that round 2 did seem neverending - mainly because every time the wizard was charging Fairy or Moogle, that silly monk couldn't land an Insult on her to save her life. Probably would have ended much sooner if she actually landed that 62% Insult...

Wow, the AI just went full retard mode for my team there...at least in Rounds 2 and 3. No charm attempt on the priest at the end of R2, no Reraise on Squire when she needed it, and I'm actually surprised that the paladin spammed Don't Move instead of Slow 2. There just wasn't enough pressure on them, really - they just did the dumbest stuff at the worst possible times. That, and the damage that ninja was doing. Mmm. GG.

The map in Round 1 was beyond perfect for my dancing monk. While it was essentially...4v2 in DomieV's favor, and Witch Hunts didn't really matter due to DomieV's absurd MP restoration capabilities, eventually, the mages spread out a bit too far and they ended up getting picked off by DS one by one. Round 2, I honestly believed that very first Berserk onto the priest clinched it; that, plus Witch Hunt draining the time mage's MP, and they ultimately couldn't do anything to slow my team down. One thing's for certain - I need to put Move-HP Up on the thief, I just have to figure out how to.

Some thoughts: I feel that if the time mage had Absorb MP instead of the oracle, DomieV could have possibly held out long enough to kill the dancing monk as she would have just been fueling her MP to keep the Holys/Raise 2's going, and that means that eventually, they would have won (unless DS gets them first). I mean, the oracle can probably get away with MP Restore and maybe even Spell Absorb to get her MP back. IMO, I don't like white magic users with MP Restore; it's just too unreliable - and against this particular team, MP Restore doesn't do anything unless one of my units decides to be retarded and melee instead of talking. I think a white magic user NEEDS either Absorb MP or Move-MP Up because you never know when you're going to need that Raise 2 or that Esuna, or in this particular case, Holy. Anywho, GG.

Holy geezus, that damage from Mallen's team. Is. Unreal. The 860 damage crit Repeating Fist, though? Yeah.

*sigh*. Screw summon magic wizards. Fail me every single time I attempt to run one. But yeah, silentkaster really only won because of Counter Magic. It seemed like it triggered every single time, too. Gonna need to redesign that whole team pronto; the damage they do just ain't cutting it for my liking.

You know I'm down. Although out of the poll choices, I chose for the classic style arena tourney. Though, a No JP cap rule could be interesting to see.

Honestly, if nothing else, the only thing that needed to happen for me to win this was for the monk to steal the oracle's accessory, which she very much did. With that said, I can't deny that Isabella was the MvP of this match; she got off those Stigma Magics and hit the Steal Accessories on the oracle. Otherwise, they would have all gotten petrified. Mediators did their job, as usual. Squire though, hmm - even though she ended up being dead weight in Round 2, and yeah she did help with Slow 2's/Don't Move's here and there, I feel that she may need a bit more direct disruption - Silence Song Paralyze or Sleep probably would've been better for her, but I dunno. See, Yin Yang and Time Magic are both strong skillsets; sometimes, it's tough when you have to make a choice between the two, but when you don't want both (I didn't want a Time Magic Oracle/Yin Yang Time Mage; won't work with this particular team). Maybe I'll try her out as a chemist with Yin Yang and see what she does with it. GG, Shadowdragon.

Thanks a lot, Barren for that quad feature.

Still undefeated. Though the AI's decisions were questionable at points (when is it not?),  can't deny that Odd Jessie and Odd Harry did some work. Charms abound. I'm starting to like this team the more I see them in action.

Hmm, I think partially the reason why Frannies lost is because of the maps; my guys died on bad panels making them unable to be revived. That chemist 1v1 was pretty funny, too. And yeah, those thieves ultimately were too fast to keep up with.

Round 2, though - first, the spell sniping from behind the wall, then that ninja! He refused to die! I lol'ed when he got zombied and then targetted with Raise 2; I was like "Ok, he goes down now finally..." Then, boom. Holy Water. Holy crap, this ninja had to be the one to run Holy Water! Anyway, despite the win, I'm considering that to be Sisters's farewell match - at least until next spring. They did good this year, that's for sure. They deserve a break.

Umm...yeah. That was...ehh. PX's team doesn't have any offense besides charm, which is easily negated by this particular team.
