Debugged? I wish. I haven't gotten far enough to finish the changes, much less debug it.

Link on p1 is the latest link, however.
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

heh, well based on my efforts spriting for the first time yesterday, I can understand how much you've put into it...I haven't been challenged by FFT in about 6 years though, so great job

Whelp, been what, 2 months+ since someone posted in here? Looks like this either needs to be closed or I need to do something new with this thing.

I don't know what's left to do, but I assure you I can come up with something.  Just for the sake of my own sanity, this patch is not going to use any new classes or skills w/o replacing old ones.

What about the VK Patch, you ask?  Well, I just finished a sprite of mine and it is too big to be imported.  One may imagine how royally pissed off I was at this.

Anyway, changes in here could go relatively fast or slow depending on what I come up with and how much time my new job takes.  Oh, and since I haven't beaten FFT in a long time, I'm going to be playtesting FFT v1.3.
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Okay, so tell me if anyone is interested in this:

Jp cost cut by about 2/3
Growth rates halved (C values doubled)
No brave change possible
Necromancer replaces Calculator

Skills
Charge +X has X+1 CTR (+20 having 12 CTR and +10 having 9 CTR)
White Magic: Holy elemental
Black Magic: weakened with increased chance for status skills to work
Yin-Yang: status skills increased to range of 2v1
Summon: weakened so that it does not completely trump Black Magic
Draw Out: uses Holy Sword formula (see http://auritech.fantopolis.com/viewtopic.php?p=3547#3547 for why)
Sing: Songs are faster and do not work when silenced
Talk Skill: Br/Fa skills replaced with a little Blue Magic
Battle Skill: Weapon breaks ignore evasion; Stat breaks have a range of 3
Guts: Dash uses Wave Fist formula, Cheer Up replaced by Invitation (or removed w/o a replacement), Ultima is stronger
Sword Skills cost lots of MP
Truth&Un-truth: vertical tolerance =1; Malak's faith possibly lowered to taste
Limit: stronger skills are quicker but Materia blade is still required

Monster skills x2 power (with monster magic growth halved)
other monster skills have increased success rate

Gained Exp Up, Move+2/3 Jump+3, Teleport, and Fly removed.  Only specials have access to Gained JP Up


Items
WP/HP,MP/Ev bonus ranged decreased so that items are useful for longer periods of time. Axes and Bags removed.
Longbow may receive additional boost to aid Archer

Class change similar to previous version of FFT Sigma, except Blue Magic is given to Mediator and Necromancer replaces Calculator
Gauntlets only available to Armored classes (Knight, Samurai, Lancer). Armlets still available to all
Squire: equip all
Chemist: better stats (100MAM, 100MPM), 4 Move, can equip robe
Knight: innate defend, can equip Spear but not Robe
Archer: better speed (115SpM, 85SpC w/o growth cut), 4 Jump, no shield available
Monk: better HP (150HPM) to compensate for less HP growth
Priest: Equip Flail
Wizard: less magic power (130MAM) due to Rods all adding MA
Time Mage: can also eq Rod
Summoner: better MP (150MPM)
Thief: better speed (125SpM, 75SpC w/o growth cut), can eq Ninja Blade
Mediator: Defense Up; can equip Rod, Staff, Book and Stick, but not Gun
Oracle: 15Ev, as much PA as priest, innate Move in Water
Geomancer: Move on Lava (to get items hidden in lava), cannot eq shield
Lancer: 6 Jump, better speed, less power, cannot eq shield or robe
Samurai: innate Two Hands (does not need better MA due to new formula)
Ninja: less power (100PAM)
Bard: can eq Robe, immune to Silence, much better stats, 4 Move and 4 Jump
Dancer: immune to Don't Move, much better stats, 4 Move and 4 Jump
Mime: 250HPM to compensate for decreased growth, immune to Confusion, Berserk, Don't Act; now has reaction: Damage Split

     replaced Zombie with Deathspell2 (removes the negative statii that Dispel Magic doesn't)
     replaced Death with Bio (a version that is weaker than Ice but can add Poison)
     removed Lich from Summon but changed Odin to Dark and Salamander to Holy

**Dark Soul: similar to other soul skills except...
     effect2v1, 20MP, uses Destroy/Dispose formula with Q10 and backfire value 4
     it is dark elemental (like all its skills) and can be used as a quick heal on necromancer


Job levels similar to previous version and Necromancer requires lv4BlkMage, lv5Oracle, lv2Summoner

Monsters have 1.4x HPM, 1.2x PAM (except Behemoth and Hydra class) and 2x MAC (to compensate for 2x power on skills)
Chocobo has great movement ability; Black can still fly
 

Status effects: Slow duration increased to be in-line with Haste and Poison lasts indefinitely.

And last but not least: Orlandu once again nerfed to the fullest extent of the law.


I figured since this has its own section I had better do something with this.
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Looks like someone doesn't read the BMG religiously.  :wink:

But yeah, do check that topic again for why.  Really...

Though more stuff gets done if we just concentrate on perfecting one good patch, like FFTv1.3.  So don't expect much to come out of here anytime soon.

Actually, don't expect anything to come from here ever. I'm done with this. I've milked all the fun out of this game and now I'm experiencing negative marginal returns. :/

So yeah, feel free to use this, hide the section, whatever.  I won't miss it.
