The FFTA2 Chocobo Knight class gets different abilities based on the color Chocobo being ridden, so I was gonna start there.
They also were still riding the chocobo in the formation screen after a battle; unless you can rig that I don't know what else can be done for a chocobo knight.

Or, you could have 3 tiers of magic guns available at different times. Like romada and mythril gun, it could be 3 different strengths. Although, the fixed element isn't to nice, but it is a suggestion.

No it's not, it's a chance to put Ramza on Auto-battle and then take a dump. Speaking of which, FFTA sucks more because it lacks auto-battle.
You must fight noob battles with shitty clans and you can't even put auto-battle on
No, you can run away from any random battle with no penalty.
