Vanya's Custom Sprites and Edits

Edit: Continuing evolution of the Radd dark knight concept...
(Don't worry, I'm keeping the red palette in mind still. It looks pretty good with black armor. ^_^)

Looks good if not just a bit generic... think you could try the Thief's headband with Ramza's hair color? That might make him stand out a bit more.

I'm sorry Vanya but that brown with the red is just really clashing for me. Especially with the light hair color and face.

@LD: I was thinking of using either a modified version of Gafgarion's Helmet or a custom one based on the FFXI dark knight.

@Cheetah: That's cool, no worries I wasn't expecting to get it right on the first try. It looks much better with Gafgarion's light greys.

That is a good idea. Also I think the body is a great design, but you might want to consider changing out the arms. They are just too recognizable.

BTW I probably should have mentioned his new job is Dark Knight.

The overall concept looks good, but I agree with Cheetah: the color combo is a bit hard on the eyes and the arms should be switched out. Maybe you could use the Male Lancer's arms? But that'll probably look wrong once the helmet is there...

Your call though; you've shown exceptional taste already.

I want to keep the pauldrons at least.
That will preserve the traditional Dark Knight look while making it look different.
I'm also thinking of changing out his boots for more heavily armored greaves.

Change it a little bit so that it doesn't look like a replica of Gafgarion with changes on head and the colours.
Maybe like what you said, a modified helmet or something ^^

I'm thinking now of experimenting with some bits from the WotL Dark Knight and maybe adding some more custom parts from FFXI dark knight. Radd is being more difficult than I thought. I might go back to Ramza and give him different arms so Radd can keep the spikey armor instead.

I think I'm good for arms now.
Next up is finishing Radd. I'm thinking I'll end up with 2 flavors. One will be more Squire style, and the other will be more Dark Knight style.

Edit: Updated Radd dark knight in previous post. I decided to use Ramza Ch.4 Legs. What do you guys think?

I really want to put a helm on that Ramza v1.2 and call it a heavy armored class, looks really good. The colors are a major improvement with the blueish armor for the dark knight Rad.
