For the most part this seems to be a fairly simple head and pallette swap. Id recommend trying to finish it yourself, see what you can do. I'm sure many vanilla-based patches would be very willing to use them if they did get finished.

i'm just saying its not necessary to hack skill ranges, just weapon ranges.

I would think it doesnt matter. Either they are already in range of their target or they move to get to said target, either way they won't move afterward.

skills don't have a minimum range, unless they use the weapon's range.

using any ranged weapon between 1-3 panels? all weapons not marked as "striking" or "lunging" seem to not be able to target the first two panels.
