Pretty sure they're coded differently. However, using the A.I.O. Editor, I believe you can make a "Judge" class with law related abilities, or any other class, for that matter. For example, giving the "Paladin" class judge abilities to master.

I'm pretty sure the editor is still being worked on. But it probably has a LOT less people than FFTPatcher working on it.

About changing item, job and ability names, I'm using FFTA Text Edit.

That's great! Congrats! Guess we'll be able to easily to change some unfair MP costs now XD.

Though, I've got to ask: how did you find the data? Did you try "playing" with random bytes through hex editing or something like that (my programming knowledge is very limited, hence the question)?

PS. Sorry if I'm getting off topic.

So here's a (most likely) silly question: will you be able (or intend) to add more spell type combinations to the modules? For example, having the Witch class be capable of equipping her standard support spells AND heal? From what I know and remember, in Tactics Ogre, your characters either use fire/wind/water/earth spells OR virtue spells.

Sorry for necroposting, but I seem to be having a problem with one of the modules. The recruitment module doesn't seem to be working properly, at least not with special characters like Ezel and Ritz. I tried changing Ezel's class to alchemist, but in-game when I recuit him, he keeps coming as an hermetic.

Can't say for sure. Only been editing jobs. But the A-Ability editor works, 'cause I've tried editing ranges and AoEs and ability effects and it worked so far.

Try opening the "New Job Editor". Then, go to one of the classes (let's use Soldier as an example) and click on the second bookmark, "Other". You'll see the skillset for that job. Click on the pencil icon ("Edit Ability Data"). It'll open a small window (like the one attached). Try changing the AP there as well.

Well, the portrait tutorial said I had to do that, so, to be fair, I should have assumed I needed to do that with the formation sprite as well. XD

Both tutorials were super easy to follow. Still, when I tried importing the formation sprite (24x40), I got an error.

The portuguese bit translates to:
"The index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than collection size. Parameter name: index"

Well, given that my question is about the shishi editor, it's sorta related to this post. Was that the only problem you had when importing the new sprisheet to your hacked iso? When using the shishi editor, I open the iso and then import the bmp file. However, in-game, the sprites in the job wheel are the default ones. Has this ever happened to you? What did I do wrong?

Hello,

I've been planning a hack of FFTA (original, I know XD) and I've got a few questions to ask:

Q1 - Can you make Ezel, Babus and Cid have the regular job wheel (either through hex editing or the AIO editor)?

Q2 - Is it possible to make special characters (Montblanc, Ritz, Shara, etc) able to go on dispatch missions?

Q3 - Thought of making a "Bard" job that had an universal "Control" A-Ability (one that would control/tame all monster classes). How do I make this happen?

Q4 - When you check which abilities a piece of equipment teaches, you can see some job icons blinking (ex. White Staff, it blinks between 3 icons, given that 3 different races can be a white mage). Can I change which jobs can be blinked?
