Gonna go with Mind of a Thief.
62
Beat the Angel
63
Fallen Angel. Shadowy gods is epic and from a personal favorite game, but Fallen Angel is more intense, I think.
64
I'll have to go with Zanarkand, for similar reasons to what Reks stated.

What did I do? My stuff was done months ago! +_+

Works in Progress / Re: Souls of Destiny

Mm... I like this idea a lot. You're saying that the main character, as a proper host, would have access to the powers of the Lucavi... perhaps he is taken over by one, enjoys the power for a time, but gradually has to battle himself for re-control?

I do like the concept, though.

New Project Ideas / Re: Patch Ideas Proposal Thread
October 07, 2012, 10:03:26 am
If anything, though, having the star as one of Ramza's men being sent on propositions would be kinda neat, even without any new maps. You could do a ton with the story that wasn't told.

Actually, you might even be able to cut the world map in favor of a menu/mission system. I have no idea if this is plausible, but you could be based at a bar, listen to rumors, and be sent through mini-series of maps when you selected to do a 'mission'.

Hmm...

Here's a demo of the next event, a few things are totally wrong but its just little stuff that takes a few minutes to fix, but mainly I'd like just some feed back to whether the event itself story-wise is good or not, please keep in mind it follows event 1. Try to ignore the fact for now that the units don't face Cecil when he talks and when everyone is dead all units stand up, plus the music doesn't fade out at the end.

Since you seem to be getting serious about the creation of this mod, I'll give you a bit more critical of a review.

Your events are good, but your dialogue doesn't fit Cecil at all, nor does the mood of the scenes. Cecil really isn't a bloodthirsty guy, he's someone who obeys orders silently and does his duty (esp. during the time we're talking about). He begins to question his orders quite quickly as the scenes below will show, and we can presume he began to question them shortly after stealing the crystal. Basically, what I'm saying is that you've failed to capture his character.

Take a look at this. This is the first cutscene from the DS version of FFIV.

This is the second (in terms of relevance).

Another good one that shows Cecil's final character turnaround.

(Before you ask, yes, I have played through FFIV.)

Thankfully noticing the party before it was too late, Noremu moved carefully about, making sure that the group of goblin scouts didn't see him... though it wasn't especially difficult considering the circumstances. The bigger issue at hand, however, was that he had been separated from the group in the confusion.

'Great,' Noremu thought to himself. 'Now what?' Well, at least he knew where the goblin camp was. Deciding to head in that direction and use Resmu as a scout (to keep an eye out for the others to regroup with), Noremu proceeds onward, being extra vigilant now that they were in real goblin territory.

Wow, you two did a nice job. It's so... so... organized!

Noremu's eyes widen as he sees the group rushing toward them. He curses under his breath; surely the entire forest had heard this man's scream!

What made matters worse, however, was something he saw out of the corner of his eye: a brief flash of red. Goblin red. Normeu's spirit dropped instantaneously. Goblin red in a place like this meant only one thing: scouts.

As they approach, Noremu glares at the approaching group, giving the first man a look of extreme annoyance in his eyes. "You idiot!" Noremu says quietly, yet burning with rage. "Do you have any idea what you've just done!?" With a flick of his wrist, Resmu materializes nearby and lands on his arm. "Resmu, I need you to find where that scout went. We'll need to eliminate him quickly if we're to keep the element of surprise." Resmu flies off.

Noremu returns his attention to the group in front of him. Giving their leader an admittedly harsh whack with his staff, he spins around and moves to wake the group as quickly as possible. "Nicholas! Keith! We have a situation!"

Noremu, too, falls quickly asleep and waits to be woken.

Having Delita would be overpowered too.

Well, that's easily fixable. The problem lies with the story.
74
Noremu groans. "Well, since we have to, I'll take the latest shift. I won't need to get ready in the morning then."

Help! / Re: Changing the CORRECT custom Sprite

Moved to Help.

Enemies and allies share the same generic sprites, but they use different palettes than the party.

Yep. If you're not talking about the palette though, you'll need entirely different sprite sheets if you want to make separate ally / enemy only classes, and then edit the battles and class-changing ability in FFTPatcher so that you can only face enemy the units in the case of enemy-only (in which case you'd make it so that allied units can't switch to the class) or never face them in the case of ally-only.

Spriting / Re: ShiruXIII's sprites
August 28, 2012, 11:20:06 am
If you need something custom done, you almost always have to do it yourself. Spriters are in high demand and most are busy atm with JotF stuff. Like Twinees said, start with a frankensprite and try working from there.

As for your sword... that's going to be really tough to do. The level of detail allowed to weapons sprites is minuscule at best. Here's a weapons sheet with some of the weapons on it (ignore the text, this is the first example I found and I'm too lazy to find a better one):

...that's the most detail you can get for weapons sprites in fft. Your sword will be incredibly difficult to do in that much detail.
