[Edit: Never mind] Looking for a save file for TLWotL at Sand Rat's Sietch

SECOND EDIT:
I got started anyway. Turns out grinding out a few job levels/abilities and some gear before Dorter isn't all that bad when you have the power of fast forwarding at your fingertips. I've been at it for maybe two hours, and I already have a better squad than I had on my phone. And if I'd used a save file, I'd have missed the Biggs and Wedge cutscene explaining Rendezvous. So, good thing I didn't!

Also, major kudos on the mod, I can definitely see why people are calling it the "definitive edition". You wouldn't believe how great it feels to switch back to a controller after poking at a laggy touch screen for two days, either. Thank you so much, I'm about to enjoy a major bout of nostalgia!

Should I leave this up, or delete the topic?

-Original message below-

Hi,

Two days ago, I happened to stumble upon the Android version of FFT. Struck with nostalgia, I bought it; I was aware of the PSP re-release with the updated translation and extra content, and had always wanted to play it.

It's been enjoyable, drawing me in just like when I was a teen playing the original. I gather the new translation is not universally liked, but I'm loving it. Though apparently I'm in a minority position here: I really don't like the touch screen controls, and playing on a tiny screen is giving me neck cramps (hooray for middle age...) Still, I've gotten as far as rescuing the Marquis from the Sand Rat's Sietch, then saved at Zeklaus Desert.

But then, just last night, I found out about TLWotL, two days late. I would much rather play that instead, with a controller in hand, and the game on my projector instead of my phone.

I just don't relish the thought of spending a day replaying the beginning of the game. I will if I have to, but I figured maybe someone has a save file at the point in the game I was at they could share instead? I asked the same thing on Reddit, but with no response outside of a few upvotes, the thought occurred to me that you Hackticians probably keep lots of saves around for play testing purposes.

I just got the mod (The Lion War of the Lions v1.02) from the sticky at the top of this forum, and will be using Duckstation on Windows to play the freshly patched game, so an *.mcd file would be preferable. (I could convert other file formats, but it's been years since I've had to, and I'm totally out of the loop on what tools to use.)

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Sincerely,
Sébastien

QUICK EDIT: Not sure if it matters at all for save file compatibility, but I just found TLW_movies.ppf in the TLWotL readme, and applied that patch as well.
