And it makes me think that it should involve circular movement abilities instead of a grid.

Yeah, it'll receive some more loving work before I put it to use.
It's not going to be used until Volume II, if even that early, and there's tons of things to cover before I get that far.

Except if you put it paint at 8x, it is very obviously NOT Orlandeau. If it was, he'd have some purple to him. If the design is looked at carefully, it's Barbaneth, an almost perfect look for him, too. I made it by fusing Ramza's ponytail, Zalbaag's head, and Dycedarg's beard. His clothing is a mix of the two older Beoulve childrens', and a little of my own editing on the shirt.

EDIT: Great news everyone. All I have tomorrow is a Chemistry test in the morning, and then I'm free to work on this all day!! Great Success.

I've got ALOT planned involving our man the Thundergod. I've really spent alot of time trying to figure out what would drive him. At some point in this comic, I plan to explore his reasons for adopting Orran. Also, Orran's execution should be something interesting to cover.

To help illustrate Orlandeau's backstory/flashback depth, and maybe give someone a base sprite...

It's coming along on the weekends mostly. However, next week might be rather expansive for it, as most of my classes are over and I only have finals left.

@Sentinal: The contrast is part of the design. It serves to illustrate Ramza's situation in comparison to Delita's. However, looking at it now it is rather distracting. I'll have to go back into the psd of the map and change it for the newer stuff.

Edit: As for A2, expect to see more of its areas as the comic continues. I find that it looks very nice when combined with FFT sprites.

Not in the least. Magicite's been ditched in favor of good ol' MP, the spell fusion is easy as hell, and multiplayer is insanely fun and not hard to set up (love the DS for that, btw).

It's got some platforming, lots of innovative puzzles, and you can pick your buddies up, which is useful sometimes.

I'd give an arm and a leg for the source code.

I can't really find a good reference picture yet... I was referring to the colors on the holster being used for the far arm.

Yeah, I connected the beard and sideburns. He always struck me as that type of guy. Also, mav's portrait was larger than the frame, and I decided that it looked better to cut from the top than the bottom.

I like mav's portrait alot.

Still it does seem that his hair has at least one wild little tuft at the front, which adds some personality.
Also, the hood seems to be coming up too far in the back. More of his neck should be exposed.
Here's my attempt.
Photobucket kinda turned it jpeg, so I'll post a png tomorrow after I get off work.

To simulate the Magun, use the color from the holster on the far arm only.
Also, the hair animation is great the only thing I can suggest is to also animate the hair on the closer side of the sprite.

Very impressed with the animation! I really didn't think anyone would pick this up ever, so thank you!
