I'm in the process of doing a fairly ambitious personal patch, that involves the complete breakdown and reconstruction of the job and class system (entierely new jobs, and new job trees), and I was wondering if anyone had figured out a way to make the various throw skills work properly outside of a [Weapon Inventory] type skillset.
If what i'm asking for isn't currently possible (or just not possible via FFTPatcher), then i'd like to know before I waste too much time fiddling with it.

really? I could have sworn that I read somewhere that there were issues where the game woudn't give out more then x number of trophies, even if more were set, but if the limit is 16, more power to us, huzzah.

when you select a unit in the ENTD editor, you should be able to scroll the right window down, at the very bottom right is the War Trophy box. Each unit can hold only a single war trophy, and each map can award only 3 or 4 war trophies in total, i'm not sure which, I think its 3 though.

Will this sprite be capable of being used as a special human job, thus allowing it to equip weapons and learn new skills and what not? Or will I have to create a Moogle monster job once this is done in order to get my SLAM-dancing fix?

I went Here, and i'm not sure what, if any, specilized programs they use, but you might be able to find something on the forums, i'll give it a browse myself later.
[edit] browsed, and browsed, and outright spelunked, and I still have no idea how Barubary ripped those Saga sprites. worse still is that the only Alkaiser sprites i've managed to find are for a custom sprite sheet done in a Romancing Saga 3 style, that happens to be buried in the middle of a HUGE sheet of other sprites/characters.
[EditEdit] The only other Saga sprites i've found are for Asellus (I've always liked the Mystics, the fact that thier natural abilities are functionally Blue Magic doesn't hurt either), Emilia (but only her default costume), and Fuse.

I was actually trying to think of a way to do Tactics Orge style undead, so kudos to you. That also gives me the plan to make a battle against 11 immortal flagged undead. Do immortal flagged undead just come back automatically, since they have no chance of going crystal or box? Or do they just stay dead? In any cast, going up against 11 of my undead in a random encounter could be murder.

As a long time player and DM of D&D and White Wolf games, I've developed a great fondness for undead creatures, so naturally i've made them very plentiful in my own personal patch. I was just interested in what some other people think of the wretched undead, and they're crazy ideas for making them fun/scary/unique. Some changes I use in my own personal patch include:

Innate Defense up for all undead, to represent the difficulty involved in dispatching the unliving with a sword.

Setting the reaction for skellys to arrow guard, and ghosts to blade grasp. Since we can't make ghosts invisble, we might as well make them intangible. As for skelletons, arrows shouldn't be that effective against creatures lacking flesh anyway. This coulpled with innate Defense up makes the undead incredibly physically resillent, which I find fitting.

Skelly's have Innate Move Underwater  and Move-Hp Up.

Skellys have the following abilities
All- Knife Hand (now has a chance to inflict Dont' Act), Drain Touch (using the Blood Sword/Bloody Strings formula), Monster Skill Lich
Skelleton- Mind Break
Bone Snatch- Power Break
Living Bond- Speed Break

Ghosts have the following abilities
All- Throw Spirit (now deals magical damage), Grease Touch (chance to inflict Slow), monster skill Dark Whisper
Ghoul- Demi
Gust- Demi 2
Revenant- Death

those are the offical Square artwork pics, i'll post some screenshots of the actual sprites as soon as I can find some or muster up the energy to make my own. For those unfamillar with the game, Red is a ship's mechanic and Alkaiser is his superhero alter-ego. He is looking to avenge his Father's murder at the hands of the evil BlackX organization. A patch replacing Ramza with Red could be cool, as i'm pretty sure it'd be possible to make an event that causes him to transform from Red to Alkaiser form at the start of important plot battles, much in the same way as the Lucavi transform.

[EDIT] found a sprite sheet for Red, now I just need one for Alkaiser. Red's got some crazy hair doesn't he?

Luminaire is actually supposed to be a Holy element attack (chrono's original element can be translated as either Sky or Heaven, hence the mix of lightning and holy spells). I'd think that the animation for Ultima or possibly one of the Lucavi transformations (Zalera, maybe?) would work.
