nop, I have already tried that and didn't work. It seems that you can only patch the text once, because when I tried to change the texto for a second time in the normal version of FFT, it showed me the same mistake. the FFt1.3 patch, must have it texts already modificated by the maker, so I can't use the fftatex to do it

Hi there!
I finished adding dk and HK in the vanilla version of fft. and it works perfectly!
Now I tried to do the same with the 1.3 version "insane dificoulty" I have already changed the sprites and the abilitys for DK and HK but I can't change the text. So my DK and HK apear with the name, bard or dancer. The FFTactext doesn't seem to work. does anyone know how to do it?

yeah, I replaced the Bard and Dancer whit the Dark Knight and geomancer for de holy knight. but the dark Knight has the problem too. I did it with de FFTpatcher. do you think that, that is the problem? i have to use the tool you mentioned? if thats the case, which one you sugest I should change with holy Knight?

Hello! I have found my self whit a problem in the abilitys of the dark knight and holy knight.
I removed the geomancer, the bard and the dancer to put there dark knights and white knights.
In playgame the characters display properly. but when I want to use dark sword and holy sword there comes the problem.
all the characters can use abilities that they haven't learnt theme! for example the only skill they have learned is night sword, but in game plan they can use dark sword, night sword and other abilities that I added to the dark knight skill. and the same happend with the holy knights and their holy sword.
Does anybody knows why this happen?

I was able to do it! =)
Now I have another problem but not remplacing characters. (I'dont know if I should make another post) I removed the geomancer, the bard and the dancer to put there dark knights and white knights.
In playgame the characters display properly. but when I want to use dark sword and holy sword there comes the problem.
With ramza beign a dark knigt he can only use the insult ability (I put that one as dark knight ability) even when he hasn't learned it yet. the generic characters they can use the technicks that learned in the ability screen, but they can also use some of the abilitys that haven't learned yet.
Does someboy know why is this?

what i wanted to do is to change the sprites in the formation menu. i have already changed the sprites in the battle mode. to change the sprites in the formation menu i read that i have to modify the UNIT.BIN, and remplace simmon and old that stuff. am i wrong? maybe i got the wrong idea.

I tried with the shishi version that it's on the download section on this page, and it don't even find the unit.bin. I red somewher in the forum that shishi wil find it if you change the extension unit.bin for unit.spr. but how do i do that?

yes, i tried to do it all again but nothing. also i realised that cdmage shows me something that i don't know what it is. i will put a picture.
should that been apearing when open de iso whit cdmage?

hi, i'm new here, and i have just started to try to edit fft. i've been reading alot about it, and i came up whit a problem. in tutorials says that i have to open unit.bin whit shisi editor. but when i try to do that after extracting the unit.bin whit cdmage, shishi editor pops out a windows whit error.
I attached a image of the error.
could some one tell me why is this!

Hi,

Could you please wrote what version of Firmware you are using?

I'm patching USA iso. Vanilia iso works. PPF for 1.3.10 also worked with this iso.
However when try to run iso patched with FFT KO 1.11 console just shutdowns.

I'm using CFW 6.60 Pro-C. I tried with M33, Inferno and Sony NP9660 "UMD iso modes".

Update - It works now! I used different iso copy, patched the same way and now its ok.

I have a question - Is psp v.1.11 similar to psx v1.1 or newest psx v2.1?
