I like the current sprite Zozma. It looks alot like her. I just recently played through Xenogears so I have seen her recently.

I think she is looking good, it would be great to these different variations though. I'm still a little confused by your mantle idea, but if you show other versions that you are talking about I think it will become clearer to me.

hmmm well based on this id say i hit it right on the mark with the sprite except the back needs that V shape. or perhaps i could remove that jacket thing altogether, i found a picture showing what it looks like underneath.

Just because she has such a limited color scheme (which is the design of the character not your sprite) it is hard to tell that it is a mantle and not just bulked up shoulders. It just ends up looking like bulky silver armor on her instead of layered clothing. The the character also just seems to be thinner than your sprite. So if you wanted her to look more like the original character I would recommend making her more streamline and trim, and find a way to make the showl more distinctive from the rest of her body. Though it might be that it will all look better once she is in motion, or if you like the look of the sprite as is that is fine because it is a cool looking sprite.

Most excellent, the portrait looks good too. My only additional thought would be to maybe make the entire shawl a little bit longer in the back and front, but not really necessary.

hehe, shes done except for the arms (which is basically the whole shawl) god i really hope the arm work doesn't take as long as beatrix did (not that she wasn't worth it)

I'm currently working on a Lucca sprite, since I wanna make a chrono trigger patch after being inspired by stewelement's crono sprite.

Although its not looking too good (as in I am too ashamed to post it). But then again, it is my first sprite ever. I'm thinking I should start with something easier, like Marle. Or even Robo.

Don't worry, you can do it. What sprite have you based Lucca off?

if you cut off the cape and use a different set of arms, balmafula's sprite would probably be highly compatible with a lucca project. a second choice would be the female archer, lil miss yumi-w is highly compatible with female sprite projects.

what set of arms? im not sure

btw, i've managed to shape my sprites based off of feedback from people on this forum ( <3 u guys). it really helps having a second set of eyes. also theres a trick to being able to finish a sprite project quickly and that is being familiar with the sprites that exist and their body parts. using parts from different sprites.. and choose your arms wisely (try to find some that you don't have to make many changes to, i can't stress that enough because they are by far the biggest pain in the butt to edit)

and @ Nagafen, can't wait to see it you know when i think about it, gafgarion's sprite his helmet is basically the same type as cecil's only the front is up which pushes the horns back.

Ahhh, I never thought of mixing and matching sprites to make it easier. I picked female ninja because the arms seemed good (although I am a total noob). But that just ended up in Lucca looking WAAAAY too fat. I'll try balmafula next time I have free time.

I also gave frog a shot basing him off the male knight, but the legs keep slaughtering me.

I'm thinking maybe I should just start with something basic to get the feel for  spriting.

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

That would be sweet to have him in an Event, telling more of his story.
I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!

It would be great if that Elibis sprite was finished. BP and I might have some plans for him in Chronicles of Kanbabrif. I was planning on just doing some quick fixes to make him functional, but a completed sheet would be much cooler. Though those colors on him right now don't look quite right.
