Sprites for fun

The portrait is awesome. On the one hand I like the light spots because they add some highlights and some variety, but they might kind of standout too much when the sprite is actually in motion. I don't know, something to experiment with.

Hey, Zozma, how does the sprite test out otherwise?  Are all the attack animations and casting animations in order?  I'm really worried about the attack (front and back), because I really had to wing those.

everything looks good, as i mentioned the white spots do indeed stand out too much... IMO of course, other than that it looks great, there is a difference when his animation is stopped his pants look bigger than when hes in motion. but besides that it looks consistant. i can post the sprite i put it together in sprite form with the picture in place if youd like me to post it. but i wont if you dont, i can email it to you if you send me a private message. also i had to do a color reduction to the portrait and sprite in order for the sprite editor to allow me to open it so if you do get a copy be sure you double check your color palette or back it up.

ohh ill add one more thing in.. the blue and the greyishblack are about the same tone so they blend a little making it seem as if he lacks color.. im not sure maybe lightening the blue shirt or something... well ill test out on my own.. but the sprite is badass love the pants :D

(his blue eyes on your forum portrait make more than 16 colors, when the color reduction took place they look closer to his shirt's blue)

right now im working on a berserker... but beefing him up .. the arms will take FOR EVER i bet... well see.. plus i might make his sandals into boots

Indeed, pretty sweet. The middle pose look a little off, though.

nah, actually this is the monk, with the calculator's hairdo. the middle arms yeah im still working on it i agree too, luckily the front and side poses are only one frame. if his arms in the middle were one pixel longer it would look right but then it wont match as the screen rotates... sigh what to do what to do..

this one could take me some time guys... whenever you change up the arms it becomes a lot of trial and error, inserting, and re-inserting into the game.. loading etc.... but ill get it done..

Hell be a berserker so this will be one human job that has absolutely no mp growth, innate innocent status, low ma (he wont need it). of course high hp and pa growth, equips axes (modded axes to use damage formula 2D to remove the randomness of damage) of course if u want him to use magic all humans can change jobs so whateva!

his skills might be like a minotaur
gather power
shake off (weapon strike)
wave around
mimic titan
and of course one that raises attack power and berserks.

Does one hand always stay the attacking hand? If so, I'd like to see a claw on the berserker. Other than that, great job!
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

I don't think it's the length of the middle arms so much as that they look like they're too close together. Compare to the last frame. Maybe just make the hands look like they're to his sides instead of on his thighs. =0

Maybe even Scream + Berserk, or Haste + Berserk.

im thinking, or hoping 3 skills balled into 1
haste + berserk + speed +??? you cant control him so maybe 5 or even 10 but i want it to be significant

either that or haste + berserk + regen

also about his arms in the middle, its funny but i a ctually brought the lower part of them in by 1 pixel because he looked a bit... odd... with them sticking out that way... so i donno...

Hm! Personally, I'd put something like... Protect, Shell, Regen and Berserk. Definitely makes it worth while to use without worrying too much about him running long first into battle ... also greatly depends on the class itself and .. well, pretty much all the enemies in game, how tough they are.

it might be good to have a mbarrier type status since thats basically most of the buffs mentioned... plus that formula is sure to pre exist.

as far as posting kuraudo's cloud... if he gives me the ok then ill post the one i showed in the screenshot. but ill wait for the ok. :)

as far as adding a claw... IF a character is bare handed then they will attack with the same hand, BUT if you change jobs and then give him a left handed sword hell probably use the other hand dont u think? so its either both hands with a claw or neither and make a claw weapon (is that doable i dont know)
