HAHA, thanks guys and ya I'd call Morrowind "old-school" but if compared to some other games its not that old. I'll probably be putting up some more pics from other stuff I've done too, all in good time.

Also I realize this site is primarily for FFT and other "old-school" games, but I love those games and Morrowind, so I felt the need to share these. I realize maybe not alot of people here play Morrowind or other games like it, but who knows, maybe someone here will have played Morrowind and the FF series like me and really appreciate these. Anyway though I hope I'm not intruding by throwing a game that really doesn't "fit in" with the rest into the mix.

Help! / FFTactext Job requirement problem

I am replacing the Oracle class with a custom one, but when I am using FFTactext to edit the Job requirements, what I put in doesn't work. When I test it in game, I push select on the job, in the job change screen, and the screen just kinda blinks, I dont get it. Is there a certain way the job requirement has to be written or a certain amount of letters you have to use?

Okay I just tried making my custom job again, but this time I used Samurai, and every time I go to use my attack abilities, its still coming up with the inventory menu,like how it would normally for the katanas, for the samurai's skill, except it has bags in the list, weird??? I'm changing the action menu tab for samurai to default in the FFTPatcher, but its still bringing up the inventory menu. I dont get it?????

Help! / Custom job help

I am currently replacing the Geomancer class. I have replaced the sprites for the male and female with no problems. Now I am completely renaming the Geomancers job name and I'm changing all the moves. Now when I'm in battle and I go to use the moves I put in the "Elemental" skill set, my range is just one square in each direction, and the never actually happens, its always just a sword swing with a miss. I have no idea what could be causing this, unless I just cant change certain skill sets for certain jobs????

EDIT: I think I've solved my problem, I cant use the Geomancer for a custom job. You cant remove the ties to the elemental attacks or something

So theres not just one out of all those squire sprites that represents Rad? I just want to change him to look like a Holy Knight or something, but still have his name. I understand he along with Alicia and Lavian use standard sprites, but shouldn't they still have a unique number as to know which is which among all the others?

I am attempting to make a patch that replaces Rad, and possibly Alicia and Lavian. I feel they have no significant purpose in the story and they would be good to replace so you don't have to get rid of any "Unique" characters. But alas, I have ran into a problem. I dont know what set of sprites are for Rad, Alicia or Lavian in Shishi. Do any of you know what Rads number/code is in Shishi? So far I've found:

38 - Male Squire
56 - Male Squire
57 - Male Squire
58 - Male Squire
59 - Male Squire
5A - Male Squire
5B - Male Squire
5F - Male Squire

I figure its got to be one of those.

I am trying to change menu sprites. I was told to edit the Attack.out, but I dont know where to find this, or what program I need to do this with.

Ok I got that to work, I changed Ramza's squire classes. But I still dont know how to edit the attack.out to change the sprites for Ramza in the menu screens. I'm not worried about the cut-scenes as I'm making a little patch just for fun, for myself.

Ok first thanks for the help, you've pointed me in the right direction. I have successfully changed the battle sprites for Ramza, but now I cant figure out what you mean by attack.out editing to replace scripts. I'm trying to take all of this in slow, so I can better understand it. I'm really happy with what I have figured out in such a short amount of time, but still I can tell this is going to be a challenge for me. I have also messed around with job classes and have changed Ramzas squire class, but like you said I will need FFTacText to change what the actual job class is called, right?

I have just recently discovered the awesomness that is FFT modding. I have played FFT since it came out along with many other RPG's from that era. I myself mod The Elder Scrolls, so when I heard about FFT modding, I actually dident believe it. But my goal would be to completely replace Ramza with another character and replace his Squire job Class with something else. Is this hard to do? All I have right now is FFT Patcher, if someone can help me with this, I'd very much appreciate it.
