BAAAAAAAH!!!
Halfway through making a new sprite and graphics gale freezes. That'll show me for not saving. Oh well, I'll start over again.
O_O suckage
My computer sometimes randomly powers off so I have to save often my work.
Not like it's a bad thing to do so.
Worse is when you're playing Disgaea 2, just reached 3000 or so levels, and when you are saving the power is cut and the data is corrupt and you just fucking wasted 200 hours of your life in that shit and then the power comes back because it was just someone in your house who needed to change a eletric cable and forgot to tell you and then you just want to kill the guy, because he TOOK THOSE HOURS from me, he TRICKED everyone! FILTHY, FILTHY, DEVIL! No QUARTER or MERCY for the FILTHY DEVIL! BASH HIS EXECRABLEMALEFICENT RANCOROUSDAMNABLEFACE! DEVIL! PERFIDIOUSMISERABLEODIOUSWRESTCH!! GEETAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGH!!!
Happened to me a couple times.
The good news is that the remake of the sprite is much much better than the original. Then even better news is that I saved my progress about three seconds before a storm knocked out the power to my house.

I've had similar things happen.. where something terrible causes me to have to start some huge project all over again, only to end up with it being greater the second time around.
It makes me wonder how much better certain other projects could have been if something had come along and destroyed everything at some point.
Whoooaahh... Mindfuck.
Also, glad to hear you narrowly escaped a second occurance by three seconds! Disaster may improve projects like this, but too much disaster can cause suicidal/homicidal tendencies!
I had wondered immediately after I had posted, whetherthe sprite would be better the third time around, since it worked like that the first time.
For some reason I never save when I'm working on portraits and then my computer crashes. Luckally I post so often here that I usually have a backup file posted here before I save the original file.
That sucks about the sprite thought because it is tedious work. Good to hear that it came out better the second time around though!
i would have lost all of my sprites when my computer got a virus and wouldnt come back on. luckily i managed to make it come on just long enough to transfer my sprite library before it went down and had to be formatted...
I hate it when I lose work to a power outage / computer crash. That's why my mantra is "Ctrl + s, Ctrl + s!" Sometimes I even find myself pressing ctrl + s after reading a particularly long post...
i have also had situations where having to remake the sprite results in something far better than the original lost data... so i donno if its always such a bad thing i do know that im picky about my pixels tho.
yeah i think it is a good thing because you get more practice so in the future you will have more knolledge on makeing them
ive been spriting since the time years ago that i made Daryl, Zigfried, Ultros, a dog, generic dancer and some other junk, fully animated playable characters on ff6/3 lol...

you know what, one time i did this like 15 page report on the computer and it crashed... i just took an f that was too much of a pain. here ive just made a habit of uploadin things as a preview so theres no way i can lose it... well unless the site went down
god forbid
