Amazing artistry abounds here, I do declare.  Please, tell me what I can say to stroke your ego to the maximum, because that it where it belongs and I enjoy grovelling in praise of artists.

Also, got any examples of non-pixel art?  I need as many reasons as I can get to lavish enough admiration to start pushing the boundaries of creepiness, because that's just the sort of human being I am.

Curu you should take a look at Mercenaries Warder and Arbalist job sprite ideas

those are two which no one has even dared to tackle yet

As you can see there is 3, why? The far left one was the original version, sadly however it had far too many colors (26 I believe.), so I had to consolidate them down, thus the two next to it are the results.

That portrait looks great. Definitely fits into the FFT style quite nicely. The only additional feature of the character that you might want to know is that there was an idea bouncing around of giving him glasses.
