It has been done! Thanks to Zodiac's event compiler we can take full events from WoTL and add them to our game! The evens seem to work completely! The only slight problem was a few random Japanes characters, but it's very easy to edit them out and fit it. I do believe that we are close to a Renaissance!

These can be added with a patch, yes?
This is amazing.
We will build cities in a day, we will build towers to the heavens. We will be heroes.
This sleeping city doesn't know what's coming. She doesn't feel the heat.
Even when the darkness surrounds us, we shall light up the night.

Zodiac is still one bad ass mofo.

Wonderful work, as usual!

So freaking sweet. Is someone working on a port of the script? If so this totally needs to go to the FFT Dub group so that they can be using the superior script.

I'm planning on using the new script, but I'm nowhere near ready to start working on it.

Well, I ported the first few events, then my carelessness broke my concentration and made a mess of things, there IS a beta line in WoTL which they cut out in the cutscene at the church. It's a rather snide remark by Delita.

Cool, how did you find the "beta" script though?

Where a cutscene is to take place, the original text they had for that scene is still there. Therefore while the cutscene is in the PSP version, they did still take the time to translate the event script no one would see.

That's much better than his old "Blame yourself or God" line.

Soooo wicked! Should this be part of a future version 1.4?

Heh, could be a 1.3 WoTL style, for the PSX, once someone devotes enough time to porting.

Ah, I have a lot on my plate, Mercenaries is first and foremost in my mind. I wouldn't want people to wait that long for a WoTL in PSX. I am sure someone else can take that mantle, it's actually incredibly simple at this point, a child could do it.

He'd have to be a very bored child...

Awesome. Just awesome.

Porting all of the WOTL text and events into the PSX game would make me consider giving the PSP game a rest for awhile.

If my schedule isn't too hectic this semester, I'd be interested in doing a port (after learning how to do so).

Damn straight. I already converted my copy of FFT to work on my CFW PSP and runs great! I can't for the life of understand why WotL runs so damn slow. If we can port the events and maybe the new movies too, then there'll be no reason to play the PSP version ever.

Well, the only reason I would see is to have multiplayer... and porting that particular feature doesn't sound like an easy feat. I'm wondering how much space the cutscenes take? The animated ones, I mean.
