ive seen some very promising projects just end abruptly. if everyone finished what they started we'd have twice as many sprites available on the main page

I'll go right to the point.
It sucks. From what I see, it's just Meliadoul with a little green thingy on her face. At least changing some of the robe colors, adding some small details, maybe changing the arms for it to look different; it would have been better for your first sprite.. Hell, anything else than a 3 minute work could have been better.
If you are starting on this, I'd suggest to have a big, separate, open paint file for one to experiment, not just simply work on the BMP file. Once you get your sprites there, you can just doodle all the way till you get a good result.
Take those pointers in mind the next time you plan on doing spritework; or if you're planning to improve on this one.
Edit: And yeah, what Zozma said.. Nevar give up.

if you're gonna do the beak, you need to do a few more pixels closer to its face, it looks like you've only got about half the beak currently

just so u know, someone did do a modded chocobo like that already, i didnt like the way they shaded the feathers but they got the beak pretty well... unfortunately its lost in a very old post somewhere on the forum

I think it was one of vanya's sprites i dunno i saw it to though but in my patch that i postponed for awhile you started off with a pet chocobo who's name was snowy so i wanted to do the beak.

Some of the shading came out wierd because I was experimenting with colors sampled from screen shots of other FF games.
The beak on yours is coming along ok, but you have to round out the tops of some of the front views.

i'll say really bad because frankly it's garbage and you're asking for opinions so i'm going to give it to you.
the hooded sprite has potential to look normal if you focus more on spriting the hood rather than recoloring the face in the hood's colors

Dont need guantlets its meliadoul but changed. Alot can change between (in my patch)Losing her in chap1 fighting her when she turns evil in chap2 and 3 and getting her again in chap4 as full char instead of guest like in chap1.
