See topic title, and post which version the bug was in. Thanks!
CURRENT BUG LIST:
-Kanji will sometimes appear in the place of em-dashes in dialogue.
-Sprites will sometimes glitch during events.
-Some item displays will not be accurate- check the item's description for the correct stats.
-The Devout sprite's arms are disconnected (will be fixed in .37)
-Certain skills will not proc debuffs (will be fixed in .37)
-Some WotL names have slipped through the cracks.

-Ensanguined Shield's Auto: Doom will never actually kill a unit (will be fixed in .37)
-Wish is learn on hit (will be fixed in .37)
-Lamia's Seduce does not properly inflict Charm (will be fixed in .37)
-Stats will reset upon death or level up.
-If an item is stolen or broken, the afflicted unit's HP will not display properly, but will after being hit or healed.
-Rarely, damage displayed as a preview will not be the final damage output.
-Sometimes Brave will appear in place of Fury in text.
Fixed! Thanks, and keep 'em coming!
No problem. Thanks for the feedback!
Het Et, i was playing your patch and everythings was going good and great untill i've reached zeakden, the game crash when i try to form my party for the battle, does anyone reported the same bug, i hope it's not something with my notebook, i'm using ePSXe
Yeah, that's a reported error. There'll be a fix for it soon, hopefully. Pokeytax knows about it and is looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience. :(
No prob, it is normal to have bugs, and it's our job, testers, to bring these up for you so you can fix and make a better patch. ;)
Zeakden is FIXED! Feel free to play on to your heart's desire~
Accidently deleted my ccp save(i was in DD), so time to move on to a new challenge
1) intro battle: ramza had no body or head equipment -- doing the intro where a can't die character has 63 hp... not fun
2) spell quote for mediguard? "we must endure" doesn't actually mention what skill was just used(bad form on an instant skill)
I'm aware of the first issue. It's fixed for the upcoming .31. Spell quotes are slightly different in PW. The ones that aren't actual spells won't say the name in the spell quote box.
yee gods man, that was quick....
will using a save from vanilla post-gariland fight screw up things too much?
It'll likely have stuff in that save that you couldn't normally get until much later, and JP might be screwed up. I welcome you to join us on IRC to talk about this further. :)
Getting a bug where a Magus or Devout on either side of the battle causes the game to simply close itself.
It occurs when that characters turn comes up.
Are you playing the most recent version, which is .30?
Further, does it crash when selecting the job? If you use a Magus/Devout, does it crash for you then? Every detail is important. :)
Using the most recent version, and it crashes when Magus/Devout's turn comes up, usually after the movement phase. It happens whether it's my character or an enemies, and it's the only time I've noticed such a crash.
Just discovered .32 will crash randomly, usually during attacks. Will hopefully have a fix by tomorrow.
Interesting, I'll check that out. Thanks for the report.

Stealing equipment does not cause the target's Current HP to fall to what it should be.
First battle in Dorter after Zeakden I stole a Mage hat off of one of the enemies, Its HP was 129/99 or whatever, and I hit a 99 with Gafgarion the next turn and it did not cause a kill.
Hmmm, that sounds like an ALMA bug. Guess I better address that and the issue with death canceling temporary stat increments/decrements.
Can't take it from him there. Wait until your next encounter with him. ;)
Okay, I just beat Queklain and I haven't saved it so I'm kind of raging now (that was a hard boss battle, btw, nice job on that)
My game just froze checking character status (Square button) at the pub while picking characters for the Dispatch mission "A Sad Traveling Artist'" or something like that.
*Okay, it happens with every Dispatch mission*
I started playing PW today, and i have a freelancer with a hunting dagger, the one that gives poach, so, i hit a goblin with it, and the damage was enough to kill it and take the poach, so far so good but it was one of those goblins that has MP switch, so, i hit his MP instead of his HP and yet i got the poach and the goblins disappeared.
Yeah, I'm aware of that bug. Just think of Poach as a good way of dealing with Hemogoblins I guess, lol.
LOL :P
Okay, looks like the events are acting funky. I'll be temporarily going back to the old script and events, which I know won't freeze, until this matter is solved. I'll post a fix later today.
A few glitches I've found, I've told you most of them, but i'll just post them here with the rest
- Male / Female Harbinger and Male Avatar's sprites are the wrong type
- Vehemence gives +3 Move, Turbo MP gives +2 Move, they're not supposed to give out Move bonuses
- Loads of guns aren't Two-Handed like the description says
- Enlighten has a buggy display, Ramza jumps up in the air and stays there. It's just a display glitch though
- There isn't actually an Archmage's Cloak in Bethla Garrison North Wall
- Beowulf still joins the party as a guest for the Colliery sidequest, his equipment / skills don't carry over to the map though
texting bug
That error will come up sometimes when there are em-dashes in the script. I need to ask Cheetah how to fix that.
Just a heads up Et, the Goug Machine City events work with the new script if you use the ShiShi method, i.e. restructure with ShiShi first then patch. I was able to get it working with the last test ppf you sent my way.
Would you mind testing that with Queklain? =x
Just an update for you. That bug where Magus class made the game crash appears to be a problem with the PSXEven emulator. I managed to get it to work just fine by simply swapping to another emulator instead, so if it comes up again by someone else that seems to be the problem.
Ah, okay, thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the report!
When Class swapping to an Assassin, the two handed katanas will be held in one hand for each. As of right now, Alicia has An Orochi and Asura in each hand, but if I try to put a new katana in her hand, it will switch to two-handed, and doesn't let me re-equip the Orochi or Asura in the other hand. Not sure why it's doin that.
Forcefield gives me +3 jump/-1 Move, instead of the described -1 move/-1 jump.
Ignore what it says it'll give you- in battle it works properly.
No idea what's up with Assassin. I'll look into it.
Keep the reports coming- hope you're having fun!
No, I think I really have 5 Jump. I go up some tall mountains with my 2 move/5 jump Magus.
I was looking at the weapon descriptions, it's something like this:
Fire-elemental
Wp 12, WE 5%
Two-Handed
Dual Wield: Yes, Doublehand: No.
So I'm guessing they're intended to be dual-wielded, even though they're two-handed weapons?
Likely just a text error on my part. I shifted some Katana around in regards to Two-Handed/Dual-Wield, so they likely aren't two-handed anymore, even though the description says it is.
One of the freelancers in gariland are marked as male, but have the female sprite.
EDIT: scratch that, BOTH freelancer Females have male names and death screams.
Another EDIT: a freelancer at level 2 can do 306 damage with mirror edge
1) The Freelancer gender error is fixed for whenever I release the next update.
2) Mirror's Edge deals percentile damage, so it can do a lot regardless of level.
Have you fixed the dash error yet Eternal?
I still need what fixes you used for Complete. =\
Something is wrong with the Lamia sprite...also I forgot to plug in the mic so I apologize for the sound

That's... really weird, since it's working on my ISO (just tested Sweegy). Come on IRC later, and I may be able to help you.

This is alot like the issue i was having Eternal
Few bugs in .36 I've noticed.
-Seduce doesn't properly inflict Charm.
-Werewolf at Sweegy is controllable.
I'll fix these for .37.
Have some more glitches for you
- Alma HP bug
- Stats are reseted upon level up. While this is benificial in cases where you don't buff your units, losing 15 speed out of the blue isn't really normal.
- Female devout sprite has disconnected arms
- Blowdart doesn't inflict sleep like the description claims
Should you not add the bugs in the first page as a checklist? and so we know which bugs already exists to not report them again?
Just wanting to let you know regardless if I use Shishi on the clean ISO or not. the Reis sprite still looks messed up
That's odd, I didn't change anything about it. When does it glitch?
It glitches when I go to the formation screen...the Reis dragon sprite appears fine in battle but when checking out your roster its a glitched out dragon with Ramza's chapter 1 picture on it. Also during battle the assassin sprite is glitched as well as the brigand picture
I'm looking at the Brigand/Assassin here in Shishi and they look fine. Is anyone else having this issue?
Check out the PW 0.36 bug video I have here in the thread and you'll see what I'm talking about...you'll notice the brigand walking is really messed up, check from 0:06 from here on you'll see the brigand walking weird. And check 0:34 - 0:36 and you'll see the assassin attack animation glitched out
I noticed. Could you try clean patching .361 and tell me if it persists? No need to use Shishi first, just patch and go.
Just saw the assassin attack animation and the brigand walking animation, it looks just fine now. Other than the Reis sprite being glitched out at the formation screen with the chapter 1 Ramza picture everything else checks out
All right, sounds like an odd random bug. I think I know what's up with Reis. Would you mind coming on IRC when you get the chance? :)
ive noticed when purchasing units the cost of each unit is 10000
when i started this patch my first thought was to buy my own randoms with the stats that i want like i always do
it shows the cost of males at 1500 and females at 1400 like Vanilla
even though i had 8500 it pointed out i didnt have enough money to cover the cost
i did a save state sold some gear and purchased a unit for test it points out the cost of 10000 only after chosing the
unit and changing its name
Yeah, it's because the cost of recruiting units is determined by the price of their gear. I'll have that fixed in the next update. Keep the reports coming. :)
Just a small resume of what I saw in the first two battles. I just want to make sure what is related to my emulator and what is about the patch, if you can help me here?
Name selection: it appeared only R, instead of Ramza.
Birthdate: bug with kanjis didn't let me see what I was picking, so I ended up being a Lion guy instead of the intended Scorpio. :)
Orbone Monastery
- Entering Knight glitches while going in injured, but that you mentioned happens during events.
- Texts and Menus: Move has a C after it, then you have Wait in the place of Attack, and everything is a bit mixed up, so you have an Empty slot at the bottom where it still works the Auto-battle stuff. Sometimes the names get back, but never showing properly, so I don't really know until now what is the name of the...hum...Squire's skill, although I see it's not Squire anymore. I don't what it is because I can't read it in my Formation either. When I go learn an ability, Select for description seldom works at first. When I learn, immediately all text messes up with Kanjis and ASCII symbols making it impossible to figure out what's happening. It corrects (partially) when I close the menu and return.
- Agrias and Gaffgarion: they have a conversation there, but in the middle of the fight, after Ramza and Agrias already moved, when it came Gaffgarion's turn, Agrias turned to him and he turned to her and they had for a while, for not apparent reason.
- Glitches on Squires/Knights: whenever they attacked, graphics got glitchy, missing or else.
- Steelguard (is this the name?): when using this, only Ramza got the animation effect on himself, even if all other units got affected at the end with Defend stance.
- Level up: message of level up doesn't show anything, only an empty box. When showing the name of an ability, a full set of Kanjis displayed instead.
At the end of the battle, there was no dialogs, so I wasn't sure if you skipped all those or if something else happened.
Gariland
- I wasn't sure if I was picking Squires or Alchemists.
- Graphics seemed confused due I'm not familiar with them, and I couldn't read them either.
- New Song is nice. ^^
- Those items with such poweful effects in the beginning of the game felt odd, I even thought that they were there for the benefit of testing the game rather than for real play. I think I just might get the touch of the patch and forget a bit about how it was. ^^
That's that. I feel a bit hard to keep up without reading things properly. Kanjis instead of dash is not big deal, but all the messed up menus are making it a hard time, especially if it comes to analyze a Beta version, so I wonder what I can do to improve this. I'll read the thread now to see if it's a common matter as well.
Thanks!
Hmm, that sounds like a dirty ISO. Have you patched a clean, untouched ISO? Further, what emulator are you using? PW only seems to work with ePSXe due to the ASMs it uses. The menus shouldn't be messed up at all- if they were, I wouldn't have released it. :P
EDIT: Come onto IRC so I can help you even more!
Hum, that might be it...I forgot that I used that ISO for the One-who-must-not-be-named patch before hand. Might be the problem...I'll take the clean iso then and try again. My bad. haha
Screeshot on the other thread, so you see how I was suffering. That was the result of when I tried to see the description.
Haha, yeah, when patching a new patch, always try and patch clean to avoid unintended bugs. Hopefully this will resolve the issue!
Creating another ISO right now, oh, dear...
It's okay, we all make mistakes like that. That's why we're around: to help. :)
But now that the problem might be solved, I'm so relieved that I'll actually read things properly. ^^ I'm also pretty much excited in replaying FFT with this patch. This is one of the games I most played in my life.
Glad to hear it! Fair warning though, a lot of stuff is changed around from the original FFT. I appreciate all feedback, so let me know if there's stuff you really like/dislike. :D
Yes, I understand. I'm not really worried if I can find things I dislike because I tend to like games that are balanced and fun. I can find names I don't like, spell combination (set for a job) I might find odd, but I'll try looking for the "whys" you made them that way beforehand, which is much more constructive than just personal taste. I just say that what I most expect from the game is to keep the FEELING of playing a FF game, even if it's way different from the original one. :)
Oh, just use this post. At your Master Guide, you have DIVINITY. You have 2 "CURE II" there. Strange that I wasn't reading the whole thing, but I just saw that straight away, funny how that happens.
Haha, that master guide is so out of date it's not even funny. Best bet is to refer to the in-game help text for explanations.
I had some issues, mainly regarding Thousand Blades skill. It was on a random fight at Mandalia. I'll explain later. Might get some sleep now.
If it's Thousand Blades randomly attacking a unit outside the range, I know of it and it's been fixed. Good night. :P
Accordingly to the little I played yesterday, I got all of the following on a random battle on Mandalia, before moving to Sweegy Woods:
M A N D A L I A P L A I N SGRAPHICS- In Mandalia, during the turn of almost any character of mine, when I openend the option for movement, the
texture of some rocks kept 'trembling', a little. Dunno if that happens all the battles, but I only noticed on the random battle.
-
Reflect didn't bounce protect cast on Ramza, only got reflected, but the spell didn't get anywhere. Is this how reflect works now?
- It was impossible using, actually, hitting a Freelancer after some rounds with Ramza. I'll add a screenshot later showing this. Even when I tried to attack from the back, side, front or whatever, the cursor attack showed as if I was trying to attack through something, like when we try to hit someone behind a wall with a crossbow. If I attacked, the attack would be blocked or evaded, but then it SHOULD show the damage input and chance to hit being a melee attack.
THOUSAND KNIVESThis was the most irregular thing that I noticed so far. There was a particular female freelancer that got the Oscar for messing up with that skill. I'm not 100% sure, but almost 90%, that this bug happened once in the storyline fight, mind you.
- It shows that the area to use this knife are 4 directions, up to 5 squares of range, in a cross-shaped area, is this it? Well, sometimes she would target an ally that was on the panel ajacent to that line, she did that many times during the random battle.
- When she did it the first time, it was the storyline battle, when we have a strandled panther, right? One freelancer attacked it and was in the front of it, that was standing on a rock on the far side of the map. She hit moved next, and targeted it outside the line. Even so, she SHOULD have hit the ally in front of panther in prior to the poor animal. It so happens that when the animal died in the third hit, the fourth hit landed on the allied freelancer. But both of them were not in the line supposed to be the AoE of that ability, but on a line parallel to it. Nothing alike happened until the end of the battle.
- But on the random battle, I started to notice because it was a bit too frequent. Something I wanted to ask is if you purposedly made this skill be able to self target the character? I'm asking this because that female freelancer, not happy with all the cheating he procured to far, performed this skill when she was standing on the middle of the map on my male freelancer, standing not only too far (corner of the screen), but on the diagonal position in relation to that wicked female freelancer. But to perform it, she targeted herself! And then I noticed that she would target herself whenever she cheated. I tried to do the same, to see if it simply chose the nearest enemy target if you tried to target yourself, but no, I always got hit by my throwing knives on...myself.
- It also shows the damage it can inflict even if the target is not suitable to take damage, i.e., behind any obstacle.
I actually lost this first random battle, but more because I forgot to buy potions for support. When 2 of my characters became crystals, I loaded the game. :D Some of the bugs mentioned on the first post happened, but very little. I got affected by Don't Act and I didn't see the ailment lable showing that, for example.
And...less important, of course, when reading the
Cross Slash description by pressing select, a second page of explanation would prompt, but it was blank. :P
No bugs were noticed on
Sweegy Woods battle. Beastmaster skills and inate worked perfectly, Lamias charmed Ramza. I just thought he was too heartless in his dialog regarding the animals (to kill them all!!) for his job. :)
How would I report bugs? Is this the way or should I write less? How to.
Yep, this is a good format for reporting bugs. Thousand Blades has already been fixed for the next version. :)

This is the sreenshot I spoke of. It started happening just after Ramza missed a 99% chance to reduce another target's CT to 0. I almost had a seizure. After that, he wouldn't be allow to lay melee damage on that freelancer.
Were you possibly using an elemental weapon that the enemy was immune to?
Well, that I couldn't check, but I might test again and see it myself. There's just many equipments with many effects that I need to be more cautious (*setting support ability: Beta Attention*).
Continuing...either in DORTER and the DESERT storyline battles, the only strange things that happened were related to what is already descripted in the first post, glitches in events, Throwing Knife with wrong targeting, oh, remembered something on the menu, but I'll test with other characters first - it's about a cape that actually increased 1 in MA and some evasion. But whenever I equipped and unequipped something on that character, instead of showing +1 MA, it showed -1 and the number started adding, becoming -2, -3, -4...but, when equipped, the values were all right, so it's just a matter of labelling. I'll take a screenshot of it when I get home.
Started playing with a Shinobi (naruto-fan here), Brigand and Barbarian.
Something I liked in the storyline battles is the scalation of levels of our NPCs, so we don't have problems with them becoming too weak if we decide leveling up here and there. :D Something I didn't fancy much, though, is that we control NPCs. Having them out of reach was, somewhat, fun - because they love to mess up with our expectations.
Hmm, what happened with Throwing Knife? Last I tested, it worked properly. Just treat it like a crossbow.
And yeah, thanks to the ALMA hack that was used to attach skills to items, some items may not display properly. Use the help text as a reference- that will be correct 99% of the time.
Honestly, the NPC level scaling thing was put in place for when I insert New Game+. That way it won't be a total pain to use them. They're still Guests in the sense that you can't control what they learn or what gear they wear, which is in itself a hindrance. :P
DELAYED EDIT: My Shinobi aren't based off of Naruto at all. >_>
Oh, by throwing knife I've meant that skill Thousands of Blades, I just forgot de name...Thousand Knives!
Yeah, but I only know some of those japanese terms through Naruto, such as Fuuton, Katon, Mokuton, for example. These are almost like trademarks. I liked those because they are very familiar to me. :)
You're in luck then, since Shinobi are getting a buff come the next update, as are Barbarians. :P
Let me know you feel about Brigands and Barbarians. :D
EDIT: Mokuton and Katon are also the Japanese names for Wood and Fire Veil in FFTA, IIRC. They must be pretty generic names in Japan.
I played the Japanese FFTA (I'm not really familiar to the language, so most of things I had to guess, so I had a tough time with those Judges...).
Brigand so far is eye candy with all the steal abilities. I'll play tonight to have a better view on them. Barbarians seem fun. ^^
T H I E V E ' S F O R TWell, this one had not anything that I'd call bug. Only a strange behaviour from one of the Magus. She's the one that's on the top of the rocks, on the right hand side of the default position. She went as far as possible from my party, disregarding any action she could have done to attack me, whilst all the other enemies interacted in the battle normaly.
Miluda, I suggest that you keep her original pixels (if possible), given that now every knight has a helm-like sprite. She could keep her old visuals to give her a unique feel, also to match her portrait.
GENERAL OBSERVATION
- Either in random battles or in storyline battles, whenever I pick a crystal of a fallen enemy, regardless the ability I choose, my hero ends up lerning all abilities (dunno if all of them from all jobs, but all that are from the same job list - but by ALL, I mean all that the crystal offers as options for learning). For example, I picked up a crystal that could teach me Steal Armor, Steal Weapon, Steal Accessory. My hero had not any of these. I picked up Armor, and then, after battle, I went to learn other things and all three skills were learned.
- The description of Piety says that it reacts whenever one is magically damaged. But it is activating whenever you cast anything on that unit. It reacted when I cast shell or when I cast protect, so this might be an unbalancing feature.
- SUGGESTION: Brigand is showing to be too strong due the easy means to acquire stealing skills, plus the put to sleep ability. I mean this because you made the game so far where units are dependable on equipment to have numbers in HP and MP, which can balance the game itself, but if you steal a Helm or an Armor, the victim is likely to become too vulnerable. I would boost the cost to learn Steal Armor, Steal Helm, Steal Weapon. The other two I don't see much problem of being cheaper, given that they are most likely what boosts one evasion and protection, so it's a way to balance itself having easier means to counter attack (by stealing).
That's that for now.
You could always learn every ability from a crystal. The pointer is just there so you can examine each skill. That's why taking Crystals is amazing. :D
As for Brigands, they're losing Blowdart and gaining Vanish in the next update. I specifically designed Brigands to be used offensively, since there aren't Break abilities anymore except for stat breaks and Meliadoul's breaking swordskills. They're there to cripple the enemy and line your wallet with the sold goods you steal. Makes stealing a bit more worth it, wouldn't you say? ;)
I see. Really couldn't recall that crystals meant all stuff at once. Better then. haha
Yes, in a long term thought, stealing equipment is a good way to earh some gil, given that we get none in random battles afais. Vanish, I gather, will add transparent and it's self casting? The other units are doing good so far. I see many interesting supportive and reaction abilities, so there are some awesome combinations.
Admittedly, it works two ways. Goblins can also do the same to you- and are annoyingly good at it. Safeguard is worth buying early just to save you trouble in random battles.
A question: the Fury and Will (B/F) modifiers still boost themselves proportionally like in the original, when casting spells and the such? I think the proportion was + 5 boost in battle -> +1 permanent.
Permanent alteration has been removed.
Ano-san, two things during the battles that I found strange. Battles until Bariaus Hill.
After casting Ultima (Ovelia), a message "emergency treatment" appears on the top of the screen. Is it intended?
When casting Suiton, most of the time, when there are multiple targets, the animation only happens once, but all targets in that area lose HP.
Ovelia shouldn't have Ultima to begin with. That's already been fixed for the next update, as has Suiton.
Hey there, so far the game is showing interesting development, specially when it comes to which job we want to develop. I've decided my Ramza shall be an Assassin (perfect matching with 'Heretic' name, to make him go to Hell :D). And I just got a Kupo Magicite. YAY!
There's an ability I was going to ask if it was intended to work that way. Brigand's Extort. Right now, it's range is based on our weapon's range. When we use it, we see an animation of a mediation sort of technique. I find this odd. I expected that this ability should have the same range as Yell, Tactics, etc. Mustadio also joins our team with abilities he has not learned from jobs he's not compatible yet, so I don't know, haven't testes but I will tonight, what happens if I try and change those abilities or simply remove them. They might vanish.
G O U G
Nothing wrong here either, only there's one of the female fighters (which is on the lower grounds), who I don't remember what she is actually, perhaps brigand, that her graphics are completely messed up. She displayed like 3 vertical bars of coloured glitch. Even her portrait was messed up. I took a screenshot, but I ended up turning off the computer before saving it, my bad. lol
P.S.:
Ah, Mustadio looks very nice with his new skills - even more useful that he ever was. Regarding the Beastmaster from the beginning of the game, I'm rarely using him. Perhaps because I also seldom use monsters, so I don't even know how to test his abilities yet. He learns from monsters? I don't understand how he does it.
Gerard the Beastmaster is a Beastmaster/Blue Mage hybrid. He learns certain monster skills by being hit with them. Extort was originally named Gunpoint and was originally intended only to work with Guns. This has been fixed, as has the issue at Goug.
Sadly, Ramza's a male, so he can only be a Templar, not an Assassin. :(
Ah, ok, so the Beastmaster might come in randy in future then. ^^ While everyone is at level 28, he's 5. lol
I didn't check that, the male and female thing...so, I suppose I'll get Ramza do something like being a Templar then. And my ex-shinobi lady then will become an assassin.
Ah, but Ramza can be a Harbinger, can he not?
Yep, anyone can be a Harbinger. :D
EXECUTION SITE
Only this bloke looks like there's some spamming of his abilities. lol
Battles of Lionel Castle were ok (transparent helped a lot all the way). After that, we have a small narration where you seem still haven't changed the texts, regarding also what Delita says in front of Goltana, killing the Minister. Old texts still.
Battle at the Coal city also went smoothly. No problems there as well.
Now I'm holding one Assassin, one Performer (2 performers made things somewhat too easy), one Necromancer, one Devout and Viking Ramza, who I'm still going to turn into a Harbinger. I want to know if I can equip 2 weapons with my assassin? I couldn't equip any doubled weapons, not even knives. Do we first have to learn the support ability?
Yeah, you have to learn the ability first. Hope you're having fun!
Aye, it's being fun playing it with so many changes. Due the new texts, it also sounds a bit richer, you see. :) Meanwhile I'm trying snatching up the goodies whenever possible, like the first harp, Excalipur (found accidentaly, actually), Princess Purse, Blood Sword and now Orran's Tome. Might not have found everything, I suppose.
Other battles went ok, as well. Lesalia and Orbone Monastery events went ok, only the known issues such as some glitches and small text misspelling. First battle against Malak went nicely too and I was very surprised by the ability of Rafa to transform one in frog, and her perfume is now mine. MWAHAHA!
Regarding skill sets, I started to notice some redundanct skills here and there, not that it's not prohibitive, but perhaps you can come up with a different and creative solution? I mean skills that mainly cause status ailment, like charm, stop, petrify, disable. Talking specially about those that cause ONLY the ailment. On the other hand, support, movement and reaction abilities explore such interesting scope of effects and combinations, making gaming experience very good.
Still talking about skills, I think it's on the first topic "-Certain skills will not proc debuffs (will be fixed in .37)", so I don't know if this is related to that phrase. ALLURE doesn't show %, although it certainly works. While POACHING, my character was able to poach a low HP monster even when the attack struck MP instead of HP, so I know not if that's intended.
Regarding now the beastmaster, started playing with him on battles with monsters and started learning some skills already. He learns 1 skill from each monster family or from each monster individually? And which accessories can a Harbinger equip?
The Beastmaster can learn one skill from each type of family. One from Chocobos, one from Panthers, etc. Harbingers can't equip any accessories at all- that's one of the sacrifices they make for being such a powerful class.
I played a bit more this morning. Having now entered the side-quests of Beowulf. Things seem a bit out of place just yet.
When you allow him to go with you, he appears on our FORMATION list, as if he was a guest or member. You can do whatever you want with him, his abilities, items, etc. But when you engage the battle at Coal City, he appears with completely different items and abilities, not completely different (haha), I mean that they are randomly chosen for those battles within his current jobs, like the usual guests. When the battle is finished, there it is Beowulf with the old items you chose to him, not any improvement from the battles, as if they were different Beowulves.
The first battle is engaged against Archers, and not Snipers. Just the name is different, dunno why.
After you rescue Reis, which has an astronomic MA, she just keeps that MA when she joins our party...then...battles become pretty much easy later on. Worker 8 also seem too much good with all those support abilities in addition to his usual strength. I feel it's a bit umbalanced.
I'll attach a screenshot showing some problems with Reis after joining our team. Her portrait appears as if Chapter 1 Ramza. When you pick her while selecting the group for a fight, the dragon doesn't appear, only the first Ramza. Ramza vanishes when battle commences so the dragon appears. It's a problem only happening with menus, I think.
Comments on Beowulf
I particularly didn't like him much as the way he is right now. Having the Ruin abilities seem ok, but Dark Sword seem misplaced somehow. I can't really define, but the character now seem too vain, not unique. I didn't fancy much his Oracle Blade as in the original game, but having him with shock and a strong mean to hold swords while enchanting everyone with annoying ailments made him somehow imba.
Here's Reis's glitch.
Beowulf was a bit thrown together, yeah. By the time I got to him, I ran out of room for skills. :P
The battles in Colliery are all against enemies that are somewhat hardcoded in vanilla FFT- thus the Archers, Dragoons, and Calculators. They're meant to be nice little throwbacks to the original game. ^_^
Worker 8 is based directly on Robo from Chrono Trigger, thus the skillset. What about him feels unbalanced? His sheer strength? The issue with Reis is due to a formation screen error. It probably won't be fixed any time soon, but I do know about it. I'm anxious to see how well Omega treats you. In .361, Omega appears as a random female unit, but in the version I'm working on now, he has a proper Iron Giant sprite.
Thanks for the feedback! :D
When I got eyes on archers, dragoons and calculators, I wasn't sure if they were meant to be like that or not. Anyway... ^^
Regarding W-8, I think he's become an overall unit with many uses. In the original, his 'charm' was the fact that his abilities drew his energy and you couldn't cast healing spells on him, so he was a double edge agent. Now I think he's just too strong, having all offensive capabilities plus having healing methods to help allies, and even a pushing ability. Not to mention his freakish HP, 750 at level 42, more or less. ^^ But Reis bracelet power is scarier still.
As for Beowulf, having the Ruin abilities, + shock, + infusion, + something Ramza knows perhaps? Actually, he's not a very important character to spend too much time thinking on him. hahah
Well, I'll play Omega another day. Must rest my mind now. Headaches when i couldn't sleep. Cheers.
Everything went ok on the battles that followed until Zeltennia. A note here, though:
The fight against Zalmo, it has become a rather boring fight, ihmo. Why? Because all enemies can heal each other, everything heal, and they keep healing, healing, healing. So, there's this situation when they don't attack us because they are buffing themselves...and then, if you use things like dispel or else, that's it. Besides, Delita was completely useless, because his main attack healed the foes, his lack of movement points made him stuck behind everyone (*healing, healing, healing*), and even the fight not being hard, it took too long to finish. Zalmo could have 'Holy' to be a threat or come berserked, because when I cast berserk on him, he was many times harder to deal with, which was fun. :) He was just too busy casting Haste, Regen, and then I debuffed them, and so it went.
The fight against the machinist was ok...then I could break the south entrance for Bethla and the battle to destroy the sluice I actually failed, because I picked up the wrong party and sent my performer into 5 enemies trying to charm them all. lol The problem was she charm only 2, and the wrong ones. I stopped right there when she turned into crystal, so I'll battle that part again.
P.S.: it was the first time that I thought Raise could have a higher VERTICAL reach, because the character was stuck in the middle of those steps, and Raise didn't reach that place.
Did you try using things like Silence in that fight to stop the enemies from using healing magic? They may cure it after a certain time, but it'll buy you some time to kill them off. As for the Bethla Sluice, it's a really fun fight. Let the two armies weaken one another if you can. :P
I wasn't really bothered by the healing action. What I saw is that they are just too busy trying to heal and they don't attack, so it was just a matter of time, until they MP was gone, you see, then they would die. Anyway, Bethla has also been dealt with. I was in a kinda hurry, then I picked dragon Reis who simply killed half enemies on her own, while the other side was being treated by my other characters.
I ended up fighting more battles and lost against Mind Flares. lol I didn't actually pay attention on the fight until I realized my only character without berserk was Mustadio and he couldn't heal anyone, so my Psion became crystal and I gave up. *sigh* The problem was that my last save was before rescuing Orlandu...
I started playing again :P
Started over, though. Gerard's job description in the Job wheel is wrong. It's still on Holy Knight or whatever he replaced, and it says innate:Defend.
Doesn't matter much, since it's fine on the ability listSortilege is supposed to be Females/Freelancers Only, but I can equip it on a male Brigand.
Quote from: Eternal248Extort was originally named Gunpoint and was originally intended only to work with Guns. This has been fixed Fixed as in next patch?
Be sure you have the latest version of PW. Also, Brigands can use -any- accessory. I thought I noted that on the item... oh well. Anyways, glad to have you back. :P
maybe its not really a bug but my game is often crashed when i used new or modified ability ex: sentinel's ability
does anyone have the same problem, or its just me ?
What emulator are you using?
psxeven v1.09
It may be an emulator error then. I know for a fact it works on ePSXe, so you may wish to try that.
Of course I have the latest version... Unless you don't upload it here anymore O_o
Wouldn't want to report bugs from 2 versions ago lol

Post to make sure the bug for the forums is fixed. It counts as a bug for PW, right?
You basically post any bugs you find in the patch, show an image if you could or describe the bug as much as possible
what's Lamia's Sap supposed to do?
it doesn't deal damage, only heals skeletons. everything else guards it.
fftpatcher says it's supposed to be 255% hit... but i dont know what's wrong with it.
i changed it to formula 53 so it does 25% of the target's current hp in damage because, well, that's my best guess as to what it was supposed to do
Sorry about the really late reply (just noticed someone posted here), but Sap is supposed to continually drain away a percentage of the enemy's HP, similar to a Dance. However, due to its formula, I don't think it'll hit foes immune to Death.
Hi folks.I am having problems to gain the ability self destruct of the fire bomb with Gerard. Is really possible?Or it´s a bug/error?
Is Gerard surviving the Self Destruct? He has to survive the attack to learn it.
Hey Eternal, it's been a while :P
Just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to playing this and I'm willing to wait however long it takes you :D
Ok... I'm not sure if this bug was reported already, but...
During the first cutscene in the game, the sprite of the "priest" looks like a blond girl. But when it goes to help the injured female knight, it becomes an old man all of a sudden.
Well, I'm sure it was supposed to look like an old man since the beginning, because at least that's how it looks like on Vanilla.
I recorded it, here is the link (http://www.mediafire.com/?rkg522etxbexs28)
Version I'm using: PSX_13034ez_Complete (http://philsov.ffhacktics.com/FFT%201.3/PSX_13034ez_Complete.ppf)
I also want to point out that I did patch a clean/vanilla ISO file as well.
Oh my goodness... sorry for double posting, but I'm doing it because many people might have read my previous post already, so, editing it would not help anymore.
Anyway, I don't know why I posted that here, my brain must have gone afk when I did it. But that post was supposed to be on a thread related to 1.3, so, feel free to move it away to somewhere more appropriate.
Hi, I don't usually post, but hey
I started playing recently. I have had 2 times where in battles some enemy spites are a glitchy cube. Once at the Last battle in chapter 1 (Algus) and the next time was The battle in Goug where you give the stone... each time it was only one unit.
I also found a few times where the game treats Gerard as if he is Agrias, even when she is present in the battle. He will talk for her and its kinda weird. Example: On the battle where Agrias begins... She is running away from soilders... if you bring Gerard, she will not be there, however he will glitch across the screen- try it, its a little funny. The second time was at the exocution site I had both of them there, and every time Agrias was supposed to talk, it was him instead...
Now  There is this thing about randomness that seems to happen to me... I cannot seem to beat a battle unless its the 2nd time through, but usually more. Enemies are given the best equips and skills. and they also have low hit rates, high evasion, and I miss too much... After playing a battle a few times something changes, either the random equips are more in my favor, or the random skill sets are in my favor and then I can win.. But I am not trying to play 1.3  It took forever to beat Algus, it was near impossible a few times. But now I am stuck at Lionel Castle. I can take out Gaf, but the outside enemies are not going down (at least never permanently.)
Please forgive me it I sound bad here. I love the game, and I've always been a casual player- I am by no means an expert, I just enjoy FFT and had fun playing. Now I am excited to try it in a completely new way! Thank you for making this game.
Thanks for the feedback! PW 2.0 is quite a bit more balanced and will be polished significantly moreso than its predecessor, which is why it's taking a really long time to release. PW 1.0 has some pretty broken things, such as the defense buffing Movement abilities. I recommend using those with other buffs to plow through battles!
