5 Rock paper scissors means 2 resistances and 2 weakness (immunity to self elemental would make sense tough, tough not required)

How about this:
Earth Lightning  <-- Ice --> Water Fire

4 - Can you use an alternative evolution system involving non returnable class change? i.e. Charizard requires Charmander job level 8, but Charmander requires Charizard and Charmleon job level < 2.

I was trying to propose something like this:
If you have a Charmander and it gets job level 4, you can upgrade it to Charmeleon.
But if you change his job to Charmeleon, you can't turn him back into Charmander, as Charmander job requires Charmander job level to be bellow 4.

Basically it checks if job level is less than X instead of equal or greater than X to allow a job change.

New Project Ideas / Re: Pokemon: Tactics version

Here some ideas:

1 - Will there be in battle items? (potion/etc)

2 - Will the trainer unit go into the battle field? He could have a "flee"/"restart" command to use if he's out of pokemon (this ability costing some Gil).

3 - Will he use items? If so, then it should be somewhat limited per battle.
Since un-evolved pokemons learn attacks faster, they could have innate "Gain jp up".

4 - Can you use an alternative evolution system involving non returnable class change? i.e. Charizard requires Charmander job level 8, but Charmander requires Charizard and Charmleon job level < 2.

5 - Can you edit ability type slots? I.e. you can use what's equipped on support, reaction and movement slots as a single single skill slot.

6 - Can unit damage be kept trough battles? i.e. My pokemon lost half it's health at Sweegy Woods, then it starts at Dorter battle with half health.

7 - Will there be guest battles (2x2 trainers)

8 - Is it possible to implement some sort of "change active pokemon"?

Nice art.
I wonder how a Mediator or a Geomancer would look with this style...

Help! / Re: Gender Specific Jobs

Given your results theres another way to implement this idea:
1 - Remove all units with base class Bard/Dancer (and/or all spill over xp)
2 - Give Male-only classes a Dancer requirement (and Bard for female-only)
3 - Make dancer/bard not accessible (If the class require job levels in itself will it be not accessible?)

Could law breaking effects be edited?
Perhaps a 50% current HP damage for yellow and a 99% current HP for red woudl suit best.

A hacked Truth and Untruth formulas might work better, no?

Sounds pretty interesting.
Good luck with it.

So could we easily have the FF V system?
Where equiping Black Magic increases your magic multiplier, if you set it as a secondary skillset?

Monk, since I usually walk without weapons and hats i wouldn't lose any equip slots.

I suppose you need ideas for the non-generic classes. Here are some random ideas:

Ninja:
1 - Throw could be used, if it has only balls and shurikens. Their damage/elementals can be changed. Perhaps the special ninja unit could have much higher speed and lackluster PA MA and move (due to increased speed). Equip change could be useful with such a class if it had many weapon options.
2 - Truth and untruth animation can be used as naruto-ninja-style. Effects can be several kinds like transparent, shell, protect, reflect, slow or damage.

Mages:
Math skill user - Can be used on some special unit. Perhaps someone who joined at high level with nerfed MA due to weak grow. Not all spells need to be available with it. For enemies just pick specific spells with secondary command set.
Energy/High Mage/Wizard/Sorcerer - Casting spells of pure arcane energy (no elemental) like ultima haste.
Dark Mage/Warlock - Use fire, poison and darkness elemental.
Red Mage - Cast some spells that may trigger more than once (0 aoe)

Other:
Samurai/Kensei - Using several weapon attack skills (somehow like a holy knight) Using some of Cloud's and Meliadol's animations and having friendly fire on them.
Weapon Master - Use charge with a twist (could have only 3 charges. +5<no ct> +10 <reasonable low ct> and +20<reasonable high ct>)
Monster Tamer - Having monster skill support ability, martial arts and perhaps some point blank area buff grating regen haste and berserk. Could be immune to berserk himself, and have innate attack up.

Seems really good and fresh.
Keep it up.

I suppose having a couple of low level skills with chance to learn 100 and job point cost = 000 is in order.
It will make low job levels enemies be a little more challenging.

The higher level skills can be stronger, and, maybe, a little less expensive in terms of mp.

Maybe decrease all skill that cost less than 200 jb to 0. Increasing the cost by 100 of all skills all between 200 and 600. And all others by 250.

FF V FTW
It's a FF that allows true job mixing, all kinds of combos are allowed (x-fight + double wield) heck even Samurai with summon magic works.
It has a cheesy humor, without autistics, depressive and boring characters, you always wanted dead (7 and 8, I look at yours big sword wielders).

Thief is boring, annoying and f*****...
They are weak and frail. Their only positive trait is a bit of speed.
Their skills are unreliable. (even steal heart, the best, has the gender requirement on top of random chance). Ok, steal weapon is more game breaking, but try to rely on that...

They make you reset the console most of times when enemies steal you, and you have to "linger" battles because of the crappy chances of stealing.
Stealing Elmdor for example, is a chore, not a good use of a unit's skill.

I enjoyed a bit the gameplay of Ragnarok Online, but 4 thing killed it in my opinion:
1 - It took long as hell to level
2 - The equipment system sucked BIG time
3 - The classes are to un-balanced.
4 - Monster distribuition was senseless.

Personally, I find Guild Wars to be the best MMMORPG because:
1 - No need for grinding/farming
2 - A real storyline
3 - We can try different builds as we wish (like the reset concept)
4 - Great graphics

If I remember, the formula editor is on hold due to real-life robbery.

Hack suggestion
"Reaction abilities always trigger (ignore brave)"
Tough it would be best if they had their own chances i.e. blade grasp 50%, counter 90%...
