I knew when I made my team that I would face three primary challenges.

1) Charm
2) Don't Act
3) Evasion + Baiting
4) 2x damage from Wind (but only from Birds and Kamaitachi due a bug in Razele's code)

...and by "the luck of the draw" as Barren puts it, I'm up against the ONLY bird team in the game, which also uses charm.  Thus, my loss isn't too surprising (Samurai 1HKO = 4v3 in both of the matches I lost).

Anyhow, good match, pokeytax.  Let's see if Lijj does better than I do.

I agree.  Thus, what I intend to do in my commentary coming up is to do a pre-battle analysis and see how well it matches up to the actual match.  However, I feel this would be more fun if it weren't just my opinions.  So, as the loser's bracket forms, I will ask you all for predictions of the matches I'm covering, as well as a reasoned analysis of why.  Try to be as through (down to the level of detail concerning compats, max damage output, status effects, movement, who will win each map...rather than the overall rounds) as possible.  I will then test all our analyses against the hosted battle.

Okay I will be a little bit serious right now. I think his team does not have enough damage output so they can not bring down my high hp units like my knights and one will also trigger speed save more because he will still be alive. Another advantage for me is that my ninja can almost 1 shot every guy on there team except the knight (but it will be close to 1 shot). 3rdly my team has more speed (i think). And lastly he does not have any status spells except maybe elemental so he will have to kill me the old fashion way.

You never know fat..... but your team has a wizard which if it has ICE, that will bomb pay!


on the down side... oil could cause you trouble if he can use it effectively :/

Yeah, I was not expecting to win at all because you have a top-tier balanced team, but the double wind damage bypassing Damage Split entirely was huge and Charm erased everything else. It was very lucky for me but a great match.

Was hoping for a warmup round, but no, instead I draw fdc/Lijj/Mando. Hopefully I did not luck out this time, just to get dropped when your squad might have stood a chance! I expect you'll be rolling through the loser's bracket without much trouble.

I just notice that in list of teams in st4rw4k3r team ninja has Murasama not Muramasa as equip, and format in Pride team is not in name/sex/zodiac order. This little things cause more work when one want to copy teams in spreadsheet :) Just telling if this is not important ignore it ;)

Thanks mando and my wizard does have ice but not ice/2/3/4. He has mostly fire spells like fire1/2/3/4. Gunthar can literally wall this entire squad once Kokoannoying is killed.  A similar case is true for Ribbentrop if FireKoko is killed.

I wanted to give a GG to Shade. I got worried in the second match when your squire, which seemingly had no offense, proc'd the GG-decap. )

A little late, but...

I completely blame this on the fact that Juliette's name was mispelled again. :P

But anyways, geez, I thought that Time Mage was going to be the main issue with her Raise spells. The RNG worked completely in your favor this match. I may've had a chance if that Petrify proc didn't go off... or if Aurora didn't ignore Juliette after she got petrified (again, blaming the mis-naming :P).
So yeah, good game Angelus. May the RNG murder everyone in your way. :)
