I miss that game so much

So... if the giant obese pig could turn the fastest cock in the game into a toad, why didn't he just do that to the rest of them as well instead of moving very slowly in a race against them?

Because that's logical.

We're talking about a several-story tall, obese, wizard pig that races against other randomly assorted animals that can apparently pilot carts, planes, and (iirc? been a while) boats.

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU SEE ROOM FOR LOGIC IN THIS EQUATION?!

That's like saying my avatar is logical.  It's not.

But it's still fucking awesome.

Indeed. You avatar is not logical; rabbits prefer lettuce
People take for account that rabbits prefer carrots because of that stupid warner bros talking rabbit.

One of the best platformers I ever played and loved.

Donkey Kong 1, 2 and 3. It had lots of secrets, full of nostalgia and not to mention I really loved the setting and ambiance.
So ur wid ur rival adn u were fighting den wen he beat u ur holy stone glowed and spoke, it told u "Your soul will unite with my flesh" den u tell ur rival dat but ur rival said "No, that's just an ordinary rock"
THEN WHO WAS STONE?

If anyone played that DK cart racer, can you tell me if it followed the main rule of the genre - everyone must have massive heads?

I believe it did, but to a lesser extent than Mario Kart.

That game had pretty fun flying tracks, multiplayer-only tracks, and powerup mechanics.  It's too bad there were only about two games in the series.  Speaking of which, I never actually played Banjo Pilot or whatever the heck it wound up being named.  Did it suffer the fate of many other sequels and utterly suck compared to the original?

I'm amazed that Mario Kart has somehow avoided that.  The bikes aren't all THAT interesting (They're easier to smack around and they have the advantage on straightaways.  Not really worth using when using that advantage makes them more vulnerable to attack.  They do seem to have superior handling though...), but the tracks and (performance) customization of what you wind up driving is pretty fun.  Double Dash was fun too, but the GC rather suffered in multiplayer capability, and so their multiplayer games tended to suffer because of it.

Why are there so many looney toons with some sort of speech impediment?  Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil, and Foghorn Leghorn or whatever his name is all have some sort of odd habit or issue when speaking, and I'm sure there are more where they came from.

It's called Diddy Kong Racing (for the 64), one of the best games ever made (even the multiplayer kicked ass, especially the arenas)

Are you implying multiplayer in kart racers is usually bad? 4-player Crash Team Racing was nearly as epic as Crash Bash.

no, I'm saying that not only were the main story tracks good, but the bonus multiplayer arena levels were excellent as well
