R.I.P. Duck, you will be missed

Duck, one of my five betta fish, has died. I had three tanks, small ones with a divider, and decided to go with a bigger tank but had to make my own dividers. The dividers were about a half inch above water level and the morning after they were in there Duck jumped the fence onto Rooster's side. Both were still alive and didn't look too beat up, Duck actually looked like he won the fight as he was ok when i put him back on his side and Rooster was laying on the bottom. But after coming home from work today Duck looked horrible and was struggling to breathe, then he had a seizure or something then just floated there...... Goodbye Duck, Rooster will always remember how you took his eye.

Zanzibar seems to know that the yellow container has food in it, he always gets all giddy when i bring it in front of him (+10 points if you know where i got his name from)

I got my betta unexpectedly, so I didn't have a prepared name for him (Argo=Dog, Bubastis=Cat, Gamera=Tortoise, for example).  For the first couple of weeks, I cycled through various historical and literary names until he was so infused with identification that he became, simply, Nomen, the Latin word for name.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have any buddies, so the only things he's able to viciously maul with his splash attack are individual food pellets.

pepsi seems to like duck's old pad (although duck only had it for 2 days) at the pet store they have em all next to eachother in plexiglass and he was constantly pissed at the other guys so yeah i picked him

fish actually have a good memory as they can be trained to navigate mazes but that might just be color memory i dunno
