Customizing AI

Hi, so, I'm new to all of this and (correct me if I'm wrong, but...) judging from the summary of the 1.3 patch for FFT, it is possible to modify the player character AI. My problem is that the AI is pretty much mentally retarded. AI programming happens to be my forte, so I don't have any problem in that area, but could someone point me in the right direction for resources or information on how I would get started modifying it? I've done some preliminary searching, but it hasn't turned up anything yet.

Anyone ever catch up on this?? Altering the AI would be a brilliant move...
