Are they people in chocobo skin costumes, or are they humans that have bred with chocobos? No one is sure, but the Chocokin is something we will discuss here in this thread.
They mingle with monsters, not just Chocobos.
Digitaldragoon's joke sprite turned out to be a pretty sweet idea for a new unit.
Think of them as a Chocobo Knight from FFTA2, except their entire skillset will be based on Monster / Chawcawbaw related things.

Quicker version of Haste, with the possible visual effect of Phoenix Down?

MP cost: 22
Inflict Status: Protect and Shell (24)
I think it's the exact same as Wall? Maybe quicker, more mana efficiant.

CT: 1
MP cost: 18
Inflict Status: Confusion (79)
Couldn't think of a more original name. I gave the Holy Explosion(and every other sword skill formula, I think) formula simply because I don't think it should be used as a damage dealer, but more so for the confusion, and you said they had weak PA.

Cry Out- Low chance of Haste on all allied monsters on the battlefield.
Waark!- Puts transparency (low chance) on all allied monsters on the battlefield.
Chawcaw Fist- Deals 60% on a monster's HP in damage.
Invitation- Either invites the target monster or enrages them (Invite or Berserk).
Wark...- Adds PA or MA to a target monster, moderate chance.
Yell!- Deals damage and tries to inflict Don't Act in an area around him.
You should replace all Reis's Dragon-aiding skills with Chocobo-aiding skills.

It only effects Monsters.
"Only effecting Monsters" is a large troublespot, once we consider these are a primary class, (replacing Mediator), Not to mention the formulas that do that are few, and it will belong to another class, (Dragoons and Scryers in essence) They are only harmful... with monsters being allies in only a Couple of Sub-Missions, that would see some of the skillset fall by the wayside for most normal fights.

With Priests cannibalized there is no such thing as Cure 1, this in a way... can fill the void. Also the Regen (25% but still...) is a pretty nice touch.

Time Mages were devoured for Warder, a long time ago. There is currently nothing which casts Haste on a unit. Yet this seems so fitting... and I have the perfect animation for it!

Weak PA alone yes, but keep in mind, it can easily be put as a secondary. PA * 14 + Y is quite a bit... for instance. Perhaps if it just confuses?

They were pretty good ideas, while a bit general, the White Mage lost it's pure support role and is something else entirely by this point, losing a number of buffs.

Invite no longer exists in any shape or form. The game's basic design hasn't changed. The only three in your "party" still consists of Rad, Ramza, and Hedin.

Charm and Sleep are both absurdly powerful status. I'm not very comfortable with either, or. Unless it's MP cost is relatively high and if it's not incredibly accurate. Also I don't think the name fits it very well...

Don't Act is another very powerful status, Yell is also a bit... overused by this point, hard to see why that would cause Don't Act. Don't Move... could work though. As well for Damage, which formula?
Scream would be have an Earth Slash like targeting.
Well, yell could be changed to Intimidate or some tactics with the voice that shouts fear into the opponent. The damage should be based off of Pa and brave (forgot what the formula exactly was)
Chawcaw fist's percentage was just an example, so if that was included it can do any % you want. Its just a base idea.
Cry Out could be a chance to haste himself, maybe?
I just had an idea that would be wierd, is it possible to have him be able to use Choco Ball/Meteor, since he base doff a "Chawcawbaw" afterall.

I dont know if that is possible. he only ones i know of is single-target, cross shaped AOE targeting, all/specific unit targeting, or line targeting.
while most of Boomkin is not possible, the idea of interrupting AND knocking back in the same move is really interesting!!

Perhaps make it a multiple rank spell, with the higher ranks decreasing in chance to knock back the target / interrupt, but do more damage to compensate?
For example, rank 1, single target - 50% chance of knock back
Rank 2 - Earth Slash type - 10% chance of knockback etc..
Brotherhood (Bribes enemy to become fellow poultry) - Heals HP & causes chicken
Brotherhood is a very interesting idea, but in essence, I would like opinions... should this be a generic class? Or an enemy only class? As much as I love the ideas, it seems most of the novelty will come from the sprites, which Ramza and Rad simply can't supply, any thoughts to this?
Enemy only, up until a certain point in the game where You have to save a Chocobo with assistance from the rider.

Well unfortunately the sprite was never completed, while it was planned as just a fun addition, so far it's status is undone.
Damn, they looked great! If I learn how to create sprites I'll make it, but o'course I don't know how it'll turn out.
If claws are still going to be implemented that would make sense for a weapon they use. Talons. Claws. Same thing.
If they are guests only you could always just give them a certain weapon and armor set with innate maintenance.

Seriously... I may suck, and I may not have even finished my first sprite I started work on a while back, but if it will get these guys to appear in the game, I'd be willing to take a stab at it. Hopefully even a terrible job done by me will give someone better a foundation to finish it more quickly. Ike isn't planned for any patches I know of, so he can continue waiting. I've got some time to kill this week, and this is for a serious and great patch. I'm willing to make a fool of myself if it will help things along. So... where's the most updated version of the sprite sheet? Or are those small pics all there is?

LD, I have a question (sorry for being off topic), but have you recently attempted to implement the GameShark thing to increase the jobs on the Job Wheel?
Yes, it doesn't do anything since those classes are unlocked from the start and their skillsets aren't properly learned since they're not of the original classes.

that it was based on the male and female lancer, plus black and red chocobo respectively.
It'll be an easy job.

Lancers for sure, female got skirt and arms from Lancer, while male got legs, armor and arms.

Helm looks pretty good, legs as well. Tell me wha helm you edited into this? Gaff's helm? Yellows are saturated, and change armor with arms, they are Ramza's, and don't look good on other sprites,

That's pretty good but yes the arms and too much yellow; not that a little less yellow would be bad.

A little different than I'd expect, but good work with the helm as well.
Interesting sprite. My only criticisms are that you should add a little more shade to the "beak" on the helmet and consider making the "eyes" on the helmet smaller too. And of course, watch out with those yellows. Overall, it's a very interesting sprite. Great job.
