need help downloading!

i really want to play fft on my laptop so i can download the patches, and maybe try some of my own eventually. but im not even sure where to start. so could someone give me a link to a place where i can download everything ill need??? id like to just start with being able to play the original game itself (preferably with instructions as ive only ever used console) and if needed a way to download patches id really like to try call of power tonight.

You are on your own for the actual ISO of FFT, search google. You'll find it easily I'm sure. OR you can just Rip your PSX version.

To play a patch, you need to download PPF-O-Matic as well as the patch you want to play. Open the ISO/BIN/IMG in PPF-O-Matic
then select the patch file. Then run the program, wait until it says complete then close it.

Play the ISO in your emulator of choice. Many people use ePSXe simply because it seems to be the most compatible with the patches on
this site, being as many have game breaking ASM hacks that ePSXe isn't affected by. AFAIK Call of Power does work on a Console tho, as
that's how I first played it. Tho to enjoy the other mods like CCP or FFT+ you are going to need to setup an emulator.

Before I explain how to play on a console... Is your console hardmodded or softmodded? PSX or PS2?
Or are you saying you need instructions on how to do so on the PC? If so, MAC or Windows?
