Help! / Unit.bin and Wldface.bin PSX freeze

Well, I finally fixed my sprites and exported them in unit.bin and wldface.bin, but whenever I upload them to the img, and convert it to an EBOOT, the game just hangs at the Playstation logo.

Does anyone else play the PSX version on the psp? I tried patching it and a bunch of different methods, but nothing seems to work.

I think it might have something to do with when I upload them, and resave the img, it gets compressed or something, so it's not the same size as an original FFT img, it's smaller in MB.


EDIT: I fixed it!!!! I used CDMage, instead of all those other 20,000 iso programs I downloaded, and just patched the cue, and it worked!!! W00t!!!!

Thanks for all the help!

I finally got ONE sprite and ONE World Face correct, so after that I just copy pasted all the other sprites and world faces over the current files and saved it.

That way all the settings were correct, and the image changed.


Woot!!!!!

Whenever I open UNIT.bin in Shishi, all I get is black sprites???

I'm trying to replace my sprites on the formation screen. Help?

Well because of the color bitmap error I haven't even started with the PALs.

All I want to do is edit formation characters ;-;

I even followed the guide and couldn't get it to work.

I've read every post in this forum on the "Not a 16 color bitmap" error with FFTUnit/WLDFace.

I converted my sprites to bmp and did the Indexing of 16 colors, saved as a bmp and it still gives me this error.

I'm at whits end, all I want to do is change my Ramza sprite, why is this so frustrating?
