Question about spriting

I can put them in the iso and so forth..so now i want to start to edit my own....what program should i use? I would really love the help guys.

yeah, MS Paint is what i use

and Gimp for changing color palettes

most of the tools on other programs really aren't needed for this stuff...

I use MS paint as well.


I'd use photoshop if I had it. But it's not a big enough deal to rip it off, either.

For a recolor GIMP works well.
I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!

I made ramza 2's shoulders and chest plate the same color as his legs the maroony looking red...but for some reason it feels out of place

I use GraphicsGale.  Or rather, I used GraphicsGale when my computer worked.
