FFTA2 Action Replay Ability Modifier Codes

I don't know if it's been done already, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I started doing my own thing.

I've started finding hexadecimal values for FFTA2 abilities. The way the game stores information is ****ing weird...

Basically, a single code stores as multiple abilities for multiple races. 8B teaches Humes "Recharge," while it teaches Vieras "Earth Heal." Spells are not in ANY logical order whatsoever in the stored data -- makes me so mad I can't even think straight. Even the Black Mage spells are inconsistent!

Anyway... I don't know if it interests any of you, but the reason why I started doing it was because I wanted a totally customizable character, and I didn't want to have to deal with a character that had mastered all skills in all areas. I only wanted to master certain skills at the beginning of the game. In other words, complete customization.

My work is incomplete... I haven't done monsters yet, though they all likely follow the same formula.

I saw your post on GFaqs. I'm curious, have you seen the FFTA2 Ability Editor on here yet?

Nope. It's probably a lot more sophisticated than what I'm doing...

Take a look at this.. If I'm understanding you properly, you want characters with all skills maxed at start. In the Ability Editor, there's a box you can check for each skill that has it auto-mastered. Perhaps that can help?
